Each one of my map lamps and shades is different to the next - the folds and creases where different sets of hands have traced journeys, the print styles and colours used by several printing companies, and of course the landmarks that have since disappeared. This one is Pre-1966 since there’s no M4 shown, and a time when the BBC was considered important enough to include its location! (swipe and you’ll see what I mean). This little bit of history is hot off my making desk and coming with me to Swansea this weekend ☺️

It's official! Come down and say hi if you're in the area, lots of stalls to browse plus the outdoor market too on Sunday.

A vintage and makers market is coming to the National Waterfront Museum this weekend, with treasures spanning five decades on offer 🧥

📅 The Waterfront Vintage and Makers Market runs Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, 10am-4pm, with free entry.

🕰️ Expect a mix of genuine vintage finds from the 1930s through to the 1980s, alongside handmade crafts from local makers - the kind of one-off pieces you won't stumble across in a regular shop.

🐄 It's organised in partnership with Cow & Ghost Vintage, a Talybont-on-Usk-based business who've spent years running vintage and artisan fairs across Wales, from Crickhowell to Swansea Marina, alongside creating their own homewares from vintage Welsh woollen blankets.

The fabulous mackerel ceremony yesterday at The widows were crying and wailing more loudly this year, probably because they knew there was to be no burning of the fish on the beach last night...and because they'd forgotten to get their order in for one of my mackerel bags - swipe to the end to see my current stock, you can order from my Etsy shop, link in bio.
