Look at this stunning Carreglas from Caws Cenarth : - a Roquefort style blue cheese made from ewe’s milk in West Wales ….creamy, slightly salty with a clean finish though be quick she sells out fast!!!!

Our very first competition entry... and we've come away with a Great Taste Award. ⭐

We've been awarded 1 Star at the Great Taste Awards 2026 for our Soft Goat's Cheese!

Great Taste is the world's largest food and drink accreditation scheme. Every product is blind tasted by expert judges, with no branding or packaging, so the judging is based purely on what's on the plate. Around six out of every ten entries receive no award, making every star a genuine achievement.

When we started Capra Cymru, our goal wasn't simply to make goat's cheese – it was to produce the very best cheese we could from the milk of our own happy, welfare-led herd here in West Wales.

To have that recognised by independent judges is an incredible moment for us.

Thank you to everyone who has bought our cheese, visited us at markets, stocked us in your shops and restaurants, shared our posts, or simply followed our journey. Your support has helped make this possible.
