Just signing off for the weekend.

Thank you for everyone’s support this week, we’ve been busy with lots of new deliveries.
I’ve met some lovely people in the shop this week, many new faces & lots of my lovely regulars 🫶 - you’re all greatly appreciated because without you we wouldn’t be on the high street… thank you 🙏

What are your Sunday plans?
For me it’s read the Sunday papers, enjoy my weekend croissant ( can taste it already 🥐) plant some spring bulbs, maybe cut the grass ( maybe I’ll leave that for The Husband to do next week, weather supposed to get warm again - yay!) . I love being outside, as long as it’s not raining - can’t beat being in the fresh air.

New window time 👀

Calling this one ‘Unbound’

The pig on the print is unbound by gravity, the butterflies are free flying high and joy, well joy is now, joy is limitless and can’t be contained

A return to/ starting school, off to university, back to college vibe … the rucksacks still have 10% off for students btw

The origami butterflies are made from our exquisite gift wrap ( these papers can be used for so many things other than wrapping a gift ) the quality is top notch 👌
It’s the first time I’ve had a go at origami and it’s great fun - always good to try new things !
You probably know that butterflies signify rebirth, new beginnings, personal growth & transformation… so I think they work really well with the off to school etc vibe
Plus another reason I wanted to incorporate butterflies is due to the awful wild fires we’ve been experiencing. The devastation they have caused is horrific and how, given time nature will come back… rebirth, transformed.

The prints in the window both carry important messages !

We first sold these wooden postcards back in 2013… when we first opened !
Made in the uk from sustainably sourced birch wood, printed with museum quality inks, these are made to last. A little work of art that can be popped in the post… treasured forever 💚

No plastic here…
What is it I hear you ask, it’s tape.
Great colours/ designs- lots of new ones to choose from. 50m length, 2.5cm wide ( wider than washi tape) 100% compostable, printed using rubber gum, 100% plastic free ( glue is plastic free too!) it’s as friendly as it gets. Perfect for craft projects, framing work, inspiration boards, anything ! It’s also strong enough for tapping a parcel. Makes me happy 😁 💚

Woke up a little older this morning… another transit around the sun, so grateful for this life.

That’s right folks today is my birthday!

Not a fan of a selfie but this is me on an early morning walk.

Just a few things I’ve learnt over the years, plenty more to learn I’m sure…

-take the knocks but don’t let them define you
- surround yourself with people that make you feel good
- learning curve, there’s always a learning curve
- keep your mind & heart open
- rituals over resolutions
- stay curious
- avoid the drama, it’s exhausting and serves no one
- get outside, look, really look
- be grateful for getting older, don’t worry about the wrinkles & grey hair… it’s not important
- be grateful
- romanticise the little wins
- be kind to others, be kind to yourself
- you are you, don’t compare yourself to others, thief of joy and all that
- smile, always makes people wonder what you’ve been up to 😉

I could keep going but I’ve got work to do, shop open today till 4 with yours truly running the show - no day off for me!
