In thebookingofficestudio working on this woodland piece today. I'm teaching myself trees in watercolour, not my best subject, but it's OK. Have to stop it getting overworked though!
Anyway, I can't decide if I should complete the scene with a family of badgers frolicking in the bluebells. What do you think?

Fancy spending a relaxing few hours getting creative and learning how to create a beautiful animal portrait in pastel?

Join me at The Booking Office Studio for a hands-on pastel workshop, where we’ll be creating a lovely hare portrait together. 🐰

I’ll guide you through the process step-by-step, from getting your drawing right through to building up colour, texture and those all-important details that bring your hare to life.

We’re very pleased to announce that the Booking Office Studio now has its own website! 🚂🎨

You can now find out more about the studio, see what’s happening, discover our workshops and drawing sessions, browse our online shop, and keep up with all the latest news.

The Booking Office Studio is a little creative space at Carnforth's famous station – a place to browse artwork, meet artists, have a go at drawing and generally enjoy a bit of creativity.

Back at Carnforth station today for the Carnforth Heritage Visitor Centre model railway event!

I spent yesterday in the studio and welcomed folk through the door to have a look and chat, I even had a visit from Elsie the studio dog along with her wonderful artist mum Jayne from The Booking Office Studio Then this young man came in and asked if he could paint!

What a lovely way to spend the day.

Be sure to check out Junction Gallery over on the other platform and Jayne’s studio too which is next door but one to the gallery.

You’ll find me right next to Brief Encounter Bistro & Bar on platform 1.

A peek at the progress made with renovating the former ticket office over the last couple of months. Originally called the Den Studio, we decided to go back to the heritage of the building with a nod to its former use.

So The Booking Office Studio is born!

✨ We’re getting ready… ✨

The Booking Office Studio is slowly coming together, and we’re really excited to be getting things ready behind the scenes! 🎨🚂

There’s still plenty to do, but the space is beginning to feel like a proper little creative hub — somewhere to browse, make, chat, learn and hopefully feel inspired.

We’ll be sharing more of what’s happening here over the next few weeks, so watch this space! 👀
