Something new is quietly beginning… 🍂
Before I’ve even got the keys in my hand, I wanted to start sharing a little glimpse into what’s to come.
I’m in the early stages of opening Robins Retreat — a family-friendly space in Castle Douglas that will bring together a love of creativity, community, and small businesses. It will be a place where little ones can play, where people can come together for workshops, and where a carefully curated gift shop will celebrate the work of talented makers.
Before moving here, I owned an award-winning gift shop, where I had the absolute privilege of supporting over 200 small business owners and local artisans. That experience shaped everything I believe in — championing independent makers, telling their stories, and creating spaces where creativity can thrive.
With Robins Retreat, I’m hoping to do something similar again — just on a smaller, more personal scale. My passion for local makers and artisans is at the heart of this, and I truly believe everyone deserves the opportunity to create, share, and be part of something meaningful.
This space is also being designed with families in mind — somewhere welcoming, where creativity isn’t just for adults, and children can feel just as included.
There’s still so much to do (and I don’t even have the keys yet!), so we’re likely looking towards a July launch… but I wanted to bring you along from the very beginning 🤍
