It’s curry night again 🌶️ order before 4 for chicke. / halloumi rogan josh, parathas, rice and cashew mixed bean daal. You’ve cleaned us out of baking this morning save for one remaining fruit scone and one ham and baked bean turnover!

What has the Auchencairn Store baked today I hear you say…

We spoke to someone yesterday who said they were keeping an eye on our Facebook for flapjack. We listened! Vicki has made an apple, cinnamon & sultana flapjack. 😁

And the sad sweeties shelf shall be restocked soon! I may have got a bit excited when ordering... 🤣

Mango chutney and vegan Feta turnovers
Tomato, mozzarella and pesto turnovers
Cheese scones
Sultana scones
Pistachio, caramel cheesecake plaits
And still in the oven I have

Morning everyone, give us a phone or a message to book GF fish / halloumi and chips for tonight. In our bakery we’ve got:

Goats cheese and red onion sourdough parcels
Cheese scones
Cranberry scones
Vegan sausage rolls with beetroot chutney
Tomato and pesto pizza with garlic and herbs

Mocha swirls (ready in 1/2 an hour)

What a good turn out for the volunteers day in the hall. 😍

We definitely couldnt do what we do in the shop without our fantastic volunteers. This isn't just the legends who come to do dishes and stock shelves. Our steering group of volunteers from the village initiative do everything including accounts, HMRC, payroll and funding. They help us run the shop both efficiently and legally, and we are eternally grateful for their support and advice.

If you'd like to get involved with the shop, please get in touch with us! There's a whole variety of jobs we could really be helped with.

In the mean time, we all enjoyed tea and cake today and celebrated all the wonderful organisations within the village, and their selfless volunteers who keep them running. 💪🥳
