Thank you to everyone who gave up their bank holiday Monday lie in, and came to support us at Chale! We have had an item bought and paid for, but forgotten, handed to us by a seller today, a body board - if this is yours please get in touch with a brief description. We assume you will want it whilst the weather is still nice! Finally, our next car boot sale is Sunday 13th September, and we hope to see you all there!

Just a reminder that we will always post any cancellations on our page, so please don’t worry if there is no post, there is no cancellation. We’re a hardy bunch in Chale and try to bring you as many boot sales as possible. With that in mind… We are going ahead tomorrow - all our volunteers have been called and are ready to welcome you down the recreation ground in the morning. All that’s left to do is keep everything crossed for dry weather!

Here are some important details for sellers and buyers:

Sellers:

Set-up time begins at 7:30 AM.

The entry fee is £5 per car and £8 per van.

No pre-booking is necessary; simply arrive and set up.

We kindly ask that you PLEASE DO NOT arrive before 7:30 AM.

Buyers:

Gates will open for buyers between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM. Please note that there may be times when buyers are allowed in earlier or later.

We will have burger and The Plaza Ices - ice cream vans on-site for refreshments, as well as restroom facilities available. Dogs are welcome, so feel free to bring your furry friends!

Please be aware events can get very busy, and it may take us extra time to safely manage traffic coming into the field. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation with our volunteers.

The event typically wraps up around 1:00 PM, though this may vary depending on the number of sellers and buyers present.

Thanks to everyone who came to visit us today, it was a very pleasant car boot. The next car boot will be Sunday 19th July, and then we will be taking a little break from car boot sales as The Chale Show takes over the recreation ground for their amazing horticultural show. Never fear, we will be back at the end of August!
