A little elephant with a very special meaning 🐘 🤍

This little elephant was lovingly crocheted for a precious new baby.

But it’s the three little hearts that make this one especially meaningful. 🤍

One heart represents the baby and is sewn on the elephant, and the other two represent the parents and are for them to keep. Together, they symbolise the beautiful bond between them — three hearts, connected by love.

I love the idea that something handmade can become more than just a gift. A little keepsake that carries a special meaning and can hopefully be treasured for years to come. 🐘🤍

A new chapter for Stephanie Stafrach 🌿

Over the past few months, I've been slowly rethinking not only my website, but how I bring all the different parts of my work together.

Crochet and macrame are still at the heart of what I do. But the more I make and teach, the more I realise that what matters to me goes beyond the finish piece.

It is about making time. 🌿

Time to slow down, work with our hands, learn something new, share a moment with other people, or create something that carries a little meaning with it.

The idea of slow making now sits at the heart of Stephanie Stafrach.

The new website brings together my creative workshops, the Tie The Knot Experience, handmade pieces and keepsakes, with a new visual identity that feels much closer to the world I want to create: natural, simple, thoughtful and made by hand.

Have you ever wanted to learn to crochet or to refresh your skills 🧶?

Those ladies just finished a 4-week course at Romsey Library - Hampshire County Council with learning inlibraries. They can now read a pattern, crochet different stitches with confidence, create a granny square and turn it into a pouch and have new tips to take care of their mental health!

It started 6.5 years ago with a simple wish: to crochet a bunny for my son 🐰. Little did I know that this small project would change my career, my pace of life and my mental health.
