£1,700 ish statue. Handful of issues. Not totally insurmountable. Customer would be happy with a partial refund, but needed to be more than the measly £100 offered by Prime 1.

So instead the whole thing is to be destroyed.

Nice comic rendition of the character. Bold colours. Traditional XM style sculpt.

For sale and open to offers. In hand UK stock and global Edition Size of 99. I believe this to be 1 of 2 in the UK (I supplied both) and the only one currently for sale.

Selling on behalf of an existing customer. Not ever taken out of the box with no material issues.

I am collecting it later this month and I will recheck its condition once more. I personally checked it over the first time.

THIS IS A CUSTOMER SALE OR RETURN. But as you’ve read above, I’ve been tasked with finding a new home for it.

I originally sold it to Mr X for £14,150. Mr X is open to SERIOUS PROCEEDABLE OFFERS. Instalments and/credit card payments are available through me. I may be able to help with some trade & cash deals but Mr X needs to 1) offload the coffin sized box, 2) needs some funds to pay solicitors. I’m sh****ng you not.

So if you’re serious about collecting, are looking for a real movie grail price and are equally as unhinged as Mr X, get in contact. I’m happy to pass on any proposal but (this is coming from me) please don’t take the p**s. The UK statue community is small and we’ve got to look after each other as best we can.

*Looking to build a buyer consortium - calling all serious UK collectors!*

You know what they say about when opportunity knocks...

Through a combination of combining some private collections, I’m seeing if there’s interest in a small group of statue collectors/business owners/entrepreneurs who may be interested in pooling resources to buy what I believe is the largest collection of pop culture statues presently in the UK.

- New and pre displayed
- Licensed and Custom Fanart, including but not limited to Prime 1, XM Studios, Queen Studios, Legendary Beast Studios, MFA Collectibles, Sideshow Collectibles
- Many grails including; XM Hulkbuster 1:4 (2x), complete released XM Transformers Gen 1 1:10 line, numerous XM Batman Samurai pieces, Queen Studios Lifesize Iron Man, complete released Legendary Beast Studios Marvel Avengers line 1:3.
- Total (new) retail value is estimated to be in excess of £100,000. *This is being confirmed*

I’m looking for a number of interested individuals willing to pool their money together to purchase and then split their spoils between them. No idea how you would do about a doing it, but right now it’s about seeing of there are 5-10 of you out there unhinged enough to be willing to find £5,000 or more to see if you want to make this happen. Preferably in the UK but not essential. The full list is currently being compiled and they are all in the UK.

You might be looking for your grail. You might want to just flip some pieces. You might want to stock your shelves. You might want to open your private gallery.

This could help with all of those.

*QC Complete! ✅ - Nice statue. But shortcuts made and overpriced 🫠*

Weta Workshop - DCEU Zack Snyder Justice League Darkseid - 1:4 Statue

I trailed here a few days ago that I thought this might be a sleeper… I sort of got it wrong. Not totally, but it’s not the slam dunk that I had hope it would be.

Overall a nice sculpt. Good proportions and detail. Nice paint on Darkseid and I really like the banner.

So some points that don’t do it for me:

- Minimal pieces in the set; 1x base, 1x figure, 1x plaque, 1x headsculpt, 1x banner. It’s a little too simple for me.

- Base is massive, almost unnecessarily so. The biggest issue for me is that it’s been designed to sit flush against the wall, so the back of the base isn’t sculpted and just covered with a plastic black PVC panel. And it’s a pretty bland paint scheme.

In the same vein, the banner is a foam block with some double sided tape attached, again designed to be stuck on the wall. What I would have liked is the back of the throne fully sculpted and a banner pole included with a double sided banner (to the said pole) attached to the base of the base. This would then allow the statue to be displayed away from the wall and/or on a turntable.

Overall though the piece is nice. There’s some real presence in this piece. It oozes a sort of malevolence/latent power. It’s good once assembled and displayed.

Taking into account my gripes above though, the retail price of over a £1,000GBP is a little strong. Maybe during peak of hobby activity a few years ago, but not now.

So let me know if you’re looking for a ZSJL 1:4 Darkseid, let me know. We can talk a sum that you’re happy with. At it needs to go.

Next up on the QC table…

Weta had a few misses (in my opinion) with likenesses on their DC Zack Snyder Justice League line.

At the time of release, I think some of the thunder was stolen by Prime 1’s 1:3 Darkseid, but my prediction is this is the sleeper of the line.

Legendary Beast Studios - Marvel Iron Man Premier Edition - 1:3 Statue

Awesome. The definitive comic Iron Man statue…? I think so.

Massive presence. LBS’ signature storytelling base, museum pose and homage to the source material. Sculpt is clean. Paint is nice considering how unforgiving the metallic red is.

Really love how you can see Tony’s eyes behind the Classic portrait.

My only criticism would be the sheer number of switch outs… 😵‍💫😬🫠. But the addition of a bust holder actually gives you another display piece. You could have a separate display of just the torsos if you had their Avengers line.

Lovely piece. It’s huge (until you put Hulk next to it!) and simply essential for any Iron Man collector.
