I know it feels early - I’m with you on that believe me!

It’s a good time though to try on the clothes of Christmas Past …

Do they still fit? Especially for little ones who may have had a growth spurt! If they don’t then you have lots of time to sell them on or donate them - or even make them into a treasured festive decoration.

It also gives you time to order this years outfits for those special days.

It may feel super early (I do get that!) but when we factor in times for fabric printing, making times, and of course delivery factors it’s better to be safe than sorry!

And please… no judgement on the Elf outfit - it’s about 17years old and my body is not what it once was 😅

Safe to say I’ll be rocking my Night before Christmas Jumper this year rather than that polyester green dress with what’s probably some sort of alcohol stain down it!

I’m not sure if it makes it more or less satisfying that it was accidental 😅

I had cut the two pieces separately not trying to get any lines to match up but was very happy when they did!

The only thing to make it even better would be if the colours matched but… can’t have it all!

This is shaping up to be a beautiful dress!

Watch a long to see how one of my most popular items is made including an ironing tip for everyone - not just people who sew! 🪡

The “All in One” dress refers to the sleeve being cut as part of the bodice…not that there is only one pattern piece.

It’s based on the Emi by waves and wild but the skirt part is self drafted.

So what do you think? Love the final product?

Just checking…

Do any of these resonate with you?

This week we’ve had the boys start back at school and while I was taking the back to school photos I did a quick selfie with them. No it wasn’t the best photo but I wanted ones to look back on with me in them. It’s ok it’s not polished - nothing much in my life is! 🤣

We also took this weekend to have a big house tidy up and sorting out old clothes is something I find quite difficult…so reminding myself that “I CAN keep some of the clothes that hold sentimental value just because” was ok, and I think that’s something we can all do with be reminded of sometimes.

Or is it just me whose algorithm is pushing all the de-clutter content 😅

I was also very much a this is an outfit for x,y,z occasion but I’m gearing more towards the “life is too short, wear it” attitude. And thats with the kids clothes too - wear it to play in, wear it to the park, maybe take it off before eating spaghetti 😅

Let me know if you needed to hear any of these today or share with someone who might need reminding they are doing great 🥰

Who is ready for the ‘ber months?

I’ve loved summer - although maybe not the sweltering days but having constantly nice weather has been nice so we haven’t had to try and cram 6 weeks of summer into 3 nice days!

I do have a love for cosy days though…
