Clearwater® 1kg pH Plus is the best way to avoid itchy eyes and skin because water pH levels have dropped below the recommended level.

It is vital that acidity is controlled and pH Plus is a simple and highly effective way to achieve this. The recommended pH balance of pool water is between 7.2 and 7.6 (you can test pH levels using Clearwater® Dip Test Strips). When pH levels drop below 7.2 acidity increases and pH treatment needs to be applied. Applying the pH water treatment couldn't be simpler. After dissolving the recommended amount of pH chemicals in warm water you simply add the solution to the pool, increasing its pH level. After eight hours, pH levels should be checked again and increased or decreased accordingly.

Clearwater® 50 x Dip Test Strips are a quick and easy way to check chemical levels in your hot tub and above ground pool.

Untested water can become a breeding ground for beastly bacteria or develop a chemical imbalance that makes eyes and irritate skin.

Testing your water with the dip strips could't be simpler. All you have to do is dip one of the water testing strips into a pool or hot tub, quickly remove it, hold it horizontally and check the results on the handy colour chart that's printed on the container. The chlorine test strips also highlight water's pH and Total Alkalinity levels. There are three separate sections on each strip to indicate each individual level.

Chlorine levels inside an above ground pool should be 1 ‑ 3 ppm (3 ‑ 5 ppm for spas), pH levels should be 7.2 ‑ 7.6 and Total Alkalinity levels should measure 80 ‑ 100 ppm or 100 ‑ 120 ppm, depending on the chemical solutions used to treat a pool. Using the chlorine, alkalinity and pH testing strips to check water balance enables you to identify what chemicals need to be added to bring them within the correct parameters.

Clearwater® 1kg Multifunction Tablets are an incredibly simple way to maintain clear and hygienic pool water. The water treatment tablets should be used with a Bestway® 5in Chemical Floater or feeder such as ChemConnect, which slowly releases them into a pool to keep it consistently clean. It's a wonderful way to maintain healthy water if you have a busy schedule or are spending a weekend away.
The swimming pool tablets benefit an above ground pool in many ways. As well as containing chlorine, which kills bacteria and other ghastly organisms by disinfecting water, the tablets also contain an algaecide solution. Many pool owners only use algaecide when algae has invaded their pool but water treatment tablets are a fantastic way to kill algae before it has become visible to the naked eye.
Another great advantage of the multifunction pool tablets is that they contain a water clarifier. Some debris and particles that find their way into water, such as dead skin and algae, are too small to be trapped by a swimming pool's filter system. Clarifier contains flocculants, which bind particles together so that a filter can trap them, producing clean and sparkly water that's an absolute joy to frolic around in.
As with all chemical products, instructions and warnings should be carefully read and followed.
