Hey 👋 I’m Lorna, the founder of Latham Street. (The one on the left btw 🤣)
We’ve had quite a few new faces join us recently, so I thought it was about time I introduced myself.
I started Latham Street over 20 years ago (which honestly makes me feel both proud and slightly old! 😅). What began as a passion for vintage clothing has taken me on a journey I never could have imagined.
Over the years we’ve helped keep thousands of items of clothing out of landfill, become rework and pop up pros, built some amazing partnerships (Topshop will always be a standout moment for me, damn you Covid!), started our charity initiative and made some incredible inspirational friends along the way… as well as having a few experiences I’d rather forget!
Looking back, it’s fantastic to see how much second-hand fashion has changed. When I first started, vintage shopping was still quite niche. Seeing it become part of mainstream fashion has been incredible, and I’m proud that Latham Street has been part of that journey.
Like most small businesses, Latham Street has had its ups and downs. There have been moments of huge excitement, moments of doubt, and plenty of lessons along the way. But the reason I started has never changed: a love of fashion, self expression, creativity, individuality, good vibes and challenging the concept of clothing ‘waste.’
I’m excited for this next chapter. Fresh ideas, new projects, and more adventures to come.
