Known as fashion’s enfant terrible, there is no denying that haute couturier John Galliano knows how to create a great collection. His creative genius was in full force during his 15 years at Dior. Let’s take a look at some of his most iconic runway shows.

Drama is one word that comes to mind when you think of John Galliano’s time at Dior, but was there ever a collection as dramatic as Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2005? Horse-drawn carriages, crumbling statues and the ghost of Madame Dior herself set the stage for some truly fabulous dresses.

The birth of one of the 2000s’ most iconic It bags earns Galliano’s 2005 ready-to-wear collection a spot among not only Galliano’s greatest hits, but Dior’s too.

Staged at Paris’s Opéra Garnier, Galliano presented a lavish spectacle that was nothing short of magical.

For this show, Galliano looked to nature as his muse.

It wouldn’t be Galliano without a hint of controversy. Some guests were so shocked by this show that they walked out, with Steven Spielberg among them. Those who stayed witnessed a provocative yet innovative display of Galliano’s barrier-breaking design.
