🎃 It's spooky season, so how about we show off some scary books for kids we have in store right now?

In Deadman Tells the Spooky Tales, Deadman sheds some light on spine-tingling adventures and things that go bump in the night - like the thing that's hiding under your bed, or watching you from the darkness.

In Marvel Zombies: Dawn of Decay, Groot becomes patient zero in a new zombie apocalypse! He teams up with Hulk to find a cure for the zombified Avengers before it's too late.

In Shock City, Milo becomes best friends with Sunny, a young monster from Shock City castle. Together they go on an adventurous romp through the city, and discover the dark secrets underneath the surface!

This is your weekly reminder that Final Order Cutoff (FOC) orders for comics are due! 📆 October events are available now, with our usual range of RPG, MTG, and tabletop game sessions in store, plus a few new things to check out!

This month we have two new RPG games available, with D&D: Red Wizards' Gambit (Part 1 on Saturday 17th, Part 2 on Saturday 24th, Part 3 in November) and Dread RPG: The Haunted Mansion on Saturday 31st! Guilds of Lyndaria begins its sixth season this month too, with the in-world Morningstar Masquerade on Sunday 25th. Weekly Sundays are changing a little bit, with Guilds Downtime given a 1pm to 4pm time slot, and the earlier part of the day dedicated to socialising and creativity for all other RPGs.

Marvel Champions returns for its monthly play session on Saturday 3rd, and after recent requests we're bringing back Painting Day on Saturday 10th! We're also expecting to run a Learn To Play event for Gundam Assemble on Saturday 31st, but the details for this one aren't confirmed yet, so stay tuned for when we're able to share more.

For Magic: The Gathering, the two ticketed events for this month are Commander Party for Reality Fracture on Friday 9th, and the Villainous Halloween Party (Commander) on Friday 30th October! Weekly Sealed League on Fridays (from 5pm) and Saturdays (11am - 12:30pm) continue throughout the month, plus our Friday Night Commander sessions from 5:30pm when we don't have a different scheduled event. Also a quick reminder that the first Saturday of the month is Open Play day (11am - 12:30pm), which is perfect for learning to play, brushing up on old skills, or just grabbing some casual games with other players in store!

🎲 It's new game day! We're starting off with the latest Unlock: New Game Adventures, which features missions based on Heat, 7 Wonders, and Carcassonne. Zombie Princess is the follow up to last year's Rebel Princess, but this time the princes you fought off have returned as undead!

In roleplaying game releases, The Last Wardens is a retro cosmic grindhouse horror RPG powered by the Year Zero Engine! The Dungeons & Dragons Encyclopedia takes you on a tour through the various settings of the D&D multiverse. We also have the new Storyteller's Kit for Dungeons & Kittens, and a shiny new set of Add-On Scenery dungeon decals for your battle maps. And specially for our Dimension 20 fans, the Starstruck graphic novel is in store now!

📚 The rest of our graphic novels have arrived, right at the end of New Comic Book Day!

Starting off with some all ages and young adult titles, Percy Jackson is now in graphic novel with both The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, and YA webcomic Tiger Girls is now collected in print! Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gets a compact edition, and YA book Aperture takes readers on a time-slip romance.

For more mature readers, several horror titles are on offer this week! Bite Me, Queens of the Crypt, and Curse of Sherlee Johnson all take readers through some very different predicaments with the undead, while World Enders follows the last survivors of humanity on a mission to destroy everything. Locke & Key gets a second Classic Collection volume, and Billy takes a fateful journey to save the love of his life in Wiccan: Witches' Road!

📚 It's New Comic Book Day!

Superheroes start us off with the highly anticipated Amazing Spider-Man #1000, and plenty of amazing covers for you to choose from! New series Alien Vs X-Men and The Amazing Venom are both kicking off this week, plus new one shots Marvel Mangaverse: Web of Destiny and Fantastic Four First Foes: Dragon Man. We also have the final issue of Queen in Black and reprints of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1!

Genre releases include Spearpoint, a pulp adventure with a witch coven fighting both enemy forces and occult creatures during WW2, and 3W3M Shift, an epic sci-fi/fantasy adventure written by Jonathan Hickman! We also have the latest Hellraiser Resurrections one shot and the early release DM cover for Dungeon Crawler Carl Volume 2! (If you prefer the main cover, don't worry, we're expecting that to be with us next week.)
