After finding out his card was worth £120, he came back to my table with a decision to make.

He’d thought about what he wanted and decided on the BGS 9.5 Gold Mewtwo from Destined Rivals. We worked out the trade, and when he was a little short I bumped it up to £100 so he could get the card he wanted.

After everything we’d spoken about, and seeing how kind and well-mannered he’d been throughout the whole interaction, I had one more little surprise for him… ❤️

But it doesn’t end there… 👀

After finding out his card was worth £120, we had a really important conversation.

I didn’t want him making a decision there and then, so I told him to take a few minutes, think about what he actually wanted to do and make the decision for himself.

I also showed him and his brother how they can use Pulse to check the value of their cards before making trades.

Sometimes being a vendor isn’t just about making a trade — it’s about helping the next generation of collectors learn how to make informed decisions too. ❤️

They walked away from my table to have a think…

He came to my table looking for Altaria — his favourite Pokémon — and reminded me that I’d given his first one for free at the previous show.

This time, he wanted to give me a card as a thank you.

But when I saw what he’d brought… I knew I couldn’t just accept it.

We checked the value on Pulse — and the result shocked both of us. 😳

One collector came to my table and gave me a stack of cards with one request…

“Give them to new collectors.”

So that’s exactly what I did. ❤️

Throughout the show, I was able to hand those cards out to young collectors and see some brilliant reactions.

It wasn’t about the value of the cards. It was about passing on a little bit of kindness and making their day extra special.

That’s what makes this community special. ❤️

A slightly quieter show schedule over the next couple of months! 😊 With our wedding in the middle of August and wanting to spend more weekends with family, I’ve decided to scale things back a little.

I’ll still be vending at these fantastic shows, so if you’re attending, please come over and say hello. Whether you’re looking for singles, sealed products, or just fancy a chat about Pokémon, I’d love to meet you.

I’m especially excited for Telford Card Show. 💙 That’s where my vending journey began at the start of the year, so it’ll be great to return to the show where it all started. It’s amazing to look back and see how much the journey has grown since then.

He’d searched the whole card show for this ETB.

Every one he found was the Pokémon Center version, but all he wanted was the standard ETB.

Before the show even started, I’d already decided that if a young collector came looking for this one, I’d let it go for retail.

Seeing his reaction when he realised he’d finally found it made my day.

Sometimes the best part of a card show isn’t the biggest sale… it’s seeing someone leave with exactly what they came for. ❤️

I sold my Pokémon collection to fund our wedding. Now I’m rebuilding it one card show at a time.

A friend pulled three Special Illustration Rares from a sealed case of 151 mini tins… and it reminded me there was still one card missing from my Team Rocket binder page.

The hunt was on at today’s Shrewsbury Card Show.

Thanks to Usman at for the fun coin flip offer (even if I had to stay sensible with the wedding just around the corner 😅), and as always, .app helped me make sure I was getting a fair deal.

One more card added to rebuild the collection. See you at the next card show. ❤️

This is why I love vending at card shows. ❤️

One pack.
One brilliant pull.
A proud family.
And a memory they’ll never forget.

Sometimes it’s not about the value of the card… it’s about the excitement, the smiles and sharing those moments together.

These are the days that remind me why I love this hobby.

A family came over to my table after another vendor suspected their Pokémon cards were fake.

Instead of just giving them an answer, we compared their card with a genuine copy together, looking at the texture, colours and little details that make all the difference.

As vendors, I believe we’re here to do more than just buy and sell cards—we’re here to help educate the next generation of collectors too. ❤️
