The July Sample Box went out to buyers across the UK at the start of the month, putting a fresh selection of supplier products directly into their hands to try first hand. The response has been excellent.

For suppliers, the Sample Box offers a practical way to reach buyers through our member depots. Speak to Amy Thomas to find out how your products can be included in a future distribution.

What a fantastic sampling session at Delifresh with Pacific West! Tabitha took the team over to experience the Pacific West breaded seafood range brought to life in Delifresh's state-of-the-art kitchen facilities, and it went down a treat.

Visits like this are a great way to explore new categories and product ranges for our membership, and this one did not disappoint. A big thank you to Gavin Beedham for the wonderful hospitality and to Andrew Dawson for a truly delicious spread of seafood.

Our Scottish 🚌 Buzz Stop 🚌 took us up to Dumfries to visit the team at Thomsons Foodservice. A great trip from start to finish, beginning with a lovely dinner out courtesy of Michael the evening before.

The next day Richard and Cez showcased a variety of CHEF Approved products including cheesecakes, the bread range and CORE Refreshments. There was a great turnout from Michael, Jackie, Shania and Angela, as well as members of the warehouse team who came along to sample the products and find out more about the range.

A big thank you to everyone at Thomsons Foodservice for making us feel so welcome!

Yesterday we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning outside our Huddersfield offices. It was lovely to see so many people drop by for a chat and to sample our own brand refreshments and desserts, and we're delighted to have raised over £400 so far.

Macmillan Cancer Support does brilliant work for people living with cancer. From specialist nurses to emotional, practical and financial support, Macmillan is there for people from the moment of diagnosis, for as long as they need it. Every penny raised goes towards that support.

The first 🚌 Buzz Stop 🚌 of the week was a flying visit on the way to Scotland to see Shaun, Mark and Kelly at JMP Foodservice. Following on from our last visit, we were able to give updates on the upcoming CHEF Approved launches, Managed Marketing Services, and the wider support and opportunities available.

Thank you to the team for making time for us, even on a flying visit.

We had a lovely 🚌 Buzz Stop 🚌 joining All Shires Foods who are celebrating their 20th anniversary with an open day today. It was a really friendly atmosphere with customers and families popping in to sample products, meet the teams and see how independent foodservice wholesale works behind the scenes.

Tabitha and Richard enjoyed every minute, handing out cakes, traybakes and CORE Juices throughout the day. A special thank you to Jonathan and Rachel for inviting us along. We loved meeting everyone and look forward to our next meeting.

A great 🚌 Buzz Stop 🚌 this week as we headed over to Bramleys, where the team caught up with James, Mollie and the sales team. It was a good opportunity to run through our CHEF Approved range, explore some exciting opportunities and give a preview of what is on the horizon.

Thank you to James, Mollie and everyone at Bramleys for the warm welcome and their time.

What a (🔥) day to come together for a good cause - Today our northern and southern teams travelled to spend a team building charity day with Forest of Hearts, the Stratford based charity working to create a greener, healthier and more sustainable future where people, places and nature can thrive. It's always great fun when we can get the team together and work side by side.

It also happened to land on one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures reaching 34c. The Forest of Hearts crew were kind enough to adjust our activities to keep the Dream Team safe and in the shade and we still managed to pack a huge amount in.

Split into four teams, we:

1. Learned about the charity and the work they do, from green therapy sessions for the local community to creating wildlife friendly gardens and planting an incredible 2,025 trees in 2025.

2. Built insect hotels, which got far more competitive than anyone expected.

3. Harvested Yellow Rattle (Rhinanthus minor) seeds, which can be sown to slow grass growth and give delicate wildflowers the space to flourish, helping biodiversity along the way.

4. Learned about herbs and shrubs and their medicinal benefits.

5. Created our own displays using the herbs, shrubs and flowers we had learned about.

A huge thank you to everyone at Forest of Hearts for having us, for your patience in the heat and for the work you do every day.
