A little bit of honesty from behind the purple 💜

I spend a lot of time sharing the fun bits of running The Griffin’s Library. The books. The Grifflings. The pretty shelves. The exciting new releases. The things I’m ridiculously excited about.

But sometimes I think it’s important to show the other side too.

I am so proud of what we have created here. But I’m also scared. I second guess myself. I worry about getting things wrong. I worry that I won’t know the answer. I worry that someone will ask me about a book I haven’t read and I’ll immediately feel like a fraud. 😂

Starting this business has been one of the biggest, bravest and most terrifying things I’ve ever done.

There are days when I think “WHAT HAVE I DONE?!”

And then someone walks through the door, tells me how much they love the shop, finds a book they’ve been looking for, adopts a Griffling, or tells me that they’ve discovered a new favourite author because of us…

And I remember exactly why I did it.

I’m still learning. I’m still figuring things out. I’m still winging it more often than I’d like to admit.

But I’m here.
And you’re here.

And honestly, thank you. 💜
