Running a small business means a lot of juggling and when things are going well it is great. When things start to go wrong it is incredibly stressful!

Some highs we’ve been experiencing recently
- seeing all our amazing stockists listed in one place. Check out our website to see all their fantastic shops!
- working on new products like our engraved pencils and new greetings cards. The creative side of the business is always fun!
- Meeting up with fellow business owners thanks to , and .

But then there are the lows…
- having problems with our greetings card printers and spending many hours trying to reach a solution that we are happy with
- Royal Mail… enough said
- The new EU customs charges making shipping outside of England, Scotland or Wales increasingly more expensive for small businesses!

And yet every time we receive an order email, Etsy kerchings or a customer walks up to the till, we still have that amazing feeling that people love what we do and it is that keeps us going!

Due to a change in some staffing we’re now able to offer our studio assistant position with a third day and more hours.

We are looking for someone to join our team in Staveley, Chesterfield working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Due to the extra hours this also opens up the position to the possibility of getting involved with the creative side of our business and being able to help make some of our product range.

We’re looking for someone to come join our team at Altered Chic.

We are looking for hard-working and enthusiastic individual to join our small team in our studio in Staveley, Chesterfield.

Duties will include checking and packing orders as well as customer support via phone, email and our online sales platforms.

We are looking for someone who is available to work 5 - 6 hours on a Wednesday and Friday.

That’s it, we’ve made it through another year. Thank you so much to all our amazing customers and stockists, it has been incredibly busy and we are so grateful!

We’re now closed our Christmas break but we will be back on Friday 2nd January. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
