Great photo!

Big crowds at Goodwood are not a recent phenomenon. Look at the number of people on the Trundle getting ready to watch the Stewards’ Cup in 1961. That year, they had 50,000 people on the first day. This view shows the paddock before the race which was won by Skymaster.

The meeting was attended by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh who stayed at Goodwood House as guests of the 9th Duke and Duchess of Richmond👑
