Chinnor Flower & Produce Show on August 31st Bank Holiday Monday

Well, here we are again, soon comes round doesn’t it. Hope you are all ready to enter your produce at our show, I can’t wait to see what all you clever and talented people bring in this year.

Please be sure to get your entry forms and fees to a committee member as soon as possible and at the very latest by 12.00 noon on the day before, Sunday 30th August. It would be awful if you missed out entering by not submitting your entry on time.
As usual, all exhibits MUST be in the marquee before 10.00am as the marquee closes then for the judging to start!

Chinnor Flower & Produce Show will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2026

Hello Everyone.

Well, it’s not long now before our show. It’s one of the biggest one day shows in Chinnor and it’s open to all and it’s only £1.00 admission to the marquee and for children under 14 it’s free! Plus there will be a lot of outside stalls to visit and refreshments will be available.
The outside stalls will open at 1.30 and the marquee will be open at 2.30.

You can come and see what all the clever people of Chinnor and surrounding areas’ have made, grown or produced. It is truly worth a visit and I bet a lot of you will think ‘I could do that’. That’s what we thought, and we did, and we do, and we’ve won! You could do the same.
Also, the Children’s sections are amazing and well worth a look.

There will be prize giving, a raffle and of course the auction where you will be able to purchase flowers, fruit and vegetables all at less prices than you would pay at the supermarket.
Please remember that it’s cash only for the entry fee, raffle and auction.

Please do come along and see everything, and there’s lots to see. We will be glad of your support.

Hi everybody, I hope that by now you have decided what you would like to exhibit in our Flower & Produce show this year. There is something for everyone and so much to choose from.

Our schedule is well on the way to being completed and as soon as it’s ready it will be distributed to all previous winners and of course it will be in all the usual places.

I am looking forward to seeing all your exhibits. I find it really wonderful to see the ideas you all come up with. This village is truly blessed with a lot of talented people and it’s great that it will go on show for all to see. So, I hope you are busy gardening, photographing, knitting, sewing and painting,
as well as thinking up new ideas for flower arranging and baking etc.

Flower Show (2) 2026

Young Adults Upcycled Fashion Ideas

This is a class for young adults age 15 – 18 only

Create a unique, re-imagined piece of clothing or accessory using any creative technique you like using an old denim jacket, jeans, skirts, hoodies, t-shirts, tote bag or anything else you have in your wardrobe that you don’t wear or use anymore.

Ideas to inspire you:

Painted denim jackets
Embroidered tote bags
Reworked jeans or skirts
Applique or patch-decorated hoodies
Rebuild fashion pieces using recycled materials
A charity shop item given a second lease of life
Custom T-shirts with your own art of typography

What we are looking for:

Creativity
Originality
A clear “upcycled” element
Your very own unique style

Why enter?

Because it’s fun, eco-friendly and it might just win you a prize. Top prize this year is a £25 Amazon voucher. Your creation will be proudly displayed at the Village Show.

So, do enter, you never know what using you own skill and imagination can lead to.

Flower Show April 2026

Just to let you know of the few changes we have made in this year’s schedule:-

Vegetable Novice Class:​ Replaced carrots with 2 cucumbers, any type.
Pot Plants:​​ Replaced Bonsai Tree with Begonia in a pot, in bloom, any type.
Flower Arranging Novice Class:​Jug of Joy, displayed in a jug or kitchen container.
​​​​Max width 46cm (18”) any height. Oasis can be used.

Flower Arranging, Open Classes:​ Fields of Gold, any shape, width not to exceed 61cm (24”)
​ Incl. accessories, any height. Oasis can be used.
​​​​ Lovely Leaves, foliage only, wight not to exceed 46cm (18”)
​​​​ Any height, Oasis NOT to be used.
​​​​ Tiny Treasures. Width & depth not to exceed 10cm (4”)
​​​​ and height 15cm max. Oasis can be used.​
​​​ ​ Fab Five, Flowers with added greenery width not to exceed
​​​​ 61cm (24”) incl. accessories, any height. Oasis can be used.

Photography Classes:​​ Christmas, A Place of Worship, Transport, Water, Wildlife

Domestic Classes:​​ Please note that Lemon Curd should have cling film over and not a ​​​​ screw top.
Homemade Beverages:​​ Please note that flavoured Gin and Vodka should be in bottles of​​​​ Maximum size 187ml
Children’s Classes:​​ All first prizes will now be a £5 Amazon Voucher instead of a book
​​​​ and all children to receive a medal for entering.

Up to and including 7 years.
Replace a junk model with a decorated Rocket made from cardboard tubes.
Replace 6 cookies with a decorated Gingerbread Man.
Replace a vegetable picture with a painted pebble max size 6”.
Age 8 to 10 years
Replace a junk model with a decorated Rocket, as above
Replace 6 cookies with a decorated Gingerbread Man.
Replace a Vege-mal animal with a painted pebble as above.
Age 11 to 14 years
Replace a Lego model with a model Volcano Max size 12” x 12”
Replace 6 cookies with decorated Gingerbread Man.
Replace handmade flowers with 3 Christmas decorations made
from recycled materials,
Replace a Vege-mal Animal with a Mini Garden displayed in a
shallow tray or container max size 14” by 10”.
