RSD BLACK FRIDAY 2026 - Limited edition releases available on FRIDAY 27th November from 9am . Please get back to us with any requests for items that you would like to buy asap , if you have no intention of buying the item then please do not request it as getting stuck with items that we would not normally order can be very costly to a small independent record shop. Black Friday works the same as record store day in April and nothing can be reserved . We can only sell one of any item to a customer but customers can buy as many different items as they wish . Please note we do not stock everything on the list and this year we will be sticking to requests mainly and won’t be ordering much more other than a few releases which we feel will attract casual buyers on the day . By requesting a release unfortunately does not mean that we can reserve it , customers still have to queue and it’s first come first served. The list is available by clicking onto the image in the below post or by viewing on the Record Store Day website and scrolling to Black Friday 2026 releases . We will do our best to order all items that have been requested. All stock is limited so we cannot always guarantee what quantities we will be supplied with by the record companies . For those queuing it is nothing like RSD in April so we don’t get a massive queue .

National Album Day is back again for Saturday October 17th . The list is available online of what is being released. Unlike RSD we can order MOST ( not all ) of these releases and reserve for customers as long as we receive a deposit by the latest next Friday 25th September as we have to submit all orders pretty sharpish . Some are extremely limited as usual. We will stock very few on the day as we are working on firm sales this year . Please check the list and come into store to discuss requirements . Thanks everyone for their continued support throughout the year .

RSD 2026 - The final update of the last few bits we have available a week after the big day are as follows , we would like to once again thank everyone who supported us last Saturday and hope you are enjoying all the records that some of you queued all night for .

Unfortunately every year we do get a few people that request things and let us down on the day . This year we only had a couple , any items that we order as requests that we get stuck with eat into the profits of all small independent record shops . We look forward to the next RSD but we see every day as RSD and hope that a lot of customers that queued last Saturday will pay us a visit throughout the year either for a browse , to pre-order a new release or even for a chat . Thanks again everybody

The wait is nearly over!
Here's are final part to tease you with a selection of the 7" records we've got for rsd 26.

To all you mad people who are going to queue all night, make sure you wrap up warm.
The old market cafe will open around 7am to fill your bellies with food and hot drinks. You can either pop in or phone 01255 422000 with your order, they will bring it to you so you don't lose your place in the queue.
We will see you tomorrow morning, we open at 9am.
