RSD 2026 - The final update of the last few bits we have available a week after the big day are as follows , we would like to once again thank everyone who supported us last Saturday and hope you are enjoying all the records that some of you queued all night for .

Unfortunately every year we do get a few people that request things and let us down on the day . This year we only had a couple , any items that we order as requests that we get stuck with eat into the profits of all small independent record shops . We look forward to the next RSD but we see every day as RSD and hope that a lot of customers that queued last Saturday will pay us a visit throughout the year either for a browse , to pre-order a new release or even for a chat . Thanks again everybody

Wow ! After an absolute fantastic effort by all our customers this morning here we have an update of what we still have at 5pm . Thx very much to all early and late risers that so far have made it a great day. We are open from 10am - 4pm tomorrow ( Sunday )

The wait is nearly over!
Here's are final part to tease you with a selection of the 7" records we've got for rsd 26.

To all you mad people who are going to queue all night, make sure you wrap up warm.
The old market cafe will open around 7am to fill your bellies with food and hot drinks. You can either pop in or phone 01255 422000 with your order, they will bring it to you so you don't lose your place in the queue.
We will see you tomorrow morning, we open at 9am.

RSD 2026 SATURDAY 18th APRIL.

RSD seems to have come around very quickly this year , this time next week the queue will be gradually taking over the High Street. This year has been the toughest yet for problems and stock shortages with deliveries but we have done our best in ordering . As it is every year some of what we ordered has been cut back due to such small quantities being released , a lot of titles are limited releases in the U.K. of 1000 or less and with over 300 shops taking part that works out to around 1 to 3 copies for each shop . Some of the larger shops in London could well be allocated a lot larger number with small independents getting just 1 copy of certain titles .

We open at 9am next Saturday the 18th , the usual rules apply , no limit on how many titles can be purchased but only 1 of any title and its first come first served with no reservations .

The Old Market Café will be open from 7am as it was last year for drinks and food and if you phone them on this number they will happily come out and take your order . 01255 422000

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Last year we had our longest ever queue but hoping this year will be even more successful and we can reach the end of the High Street .
