WHY COCONUT & RAPESEED WAX?

The wax inside your candle matters just as much as the fragrance — which is why we choose a premium coconut & rapeseed wax blend for our Brooke & Bean candles.

✨ Superior scent throw — our wax holds and releases fragrance beautifully, creating a rich scent that fills your space.

🕯️ A beautiful, clean burn — carefully formulated to give the smooth, even performance we expect from a premium candle.

🌱 Plant-based & renewable — coconut and rapeseed are renewable resources, giving us a more environmentally conscious alternative to traditional paraffin wax.

🤍 That luxury finish — smooth, creamy and beautifully understated. It looks every bit as gorgeous as it smells.

We could use cheaper wax. We choose not to.

A beautiful candle deserves a little care 🤎

Getting the best from your Brooke & Bean candle isn’t just about lighting it and letting it burn. A few simple habits can help your candle burn more evenly, stay cleaner and give you the best fragrance experience possible.

✂️ Trim your wick to around 6mm before every burn
🔥 Let the wax reach the edges on that all-important first burn
⏰ Never burn for longer than 4 hours at a time
🕯️ Leave around 1cm of wax at the bottom and know when it’s time to say goodbye
🏡 Keep away from draughts, radiators and direct sunlight
✨ Then simply sit back and enjoy it.

We thought it was time to reintroduce you to one of the lovely independent businesses you’ll find tucked away on our shelves at Brooke & Bean — The Thoughtful Parcel. 🤎

If you love beautiful stationery (or know someone who does!), these are such a gorgeous find.

Each parcel features a beautifully curated book presented as a stunning gift set, ready for its new owner to make completely their own.

Fill it with thoughts and memories. Use it as a journal or sketchbook. Scribble down ideas, make plans, keep notes, write your dreams… or save it for those thoughts you simply want to put somewhere special. ✍️📖

There are no rules — and I think that’s what makes them such a thoughtful gift.

It might just look like a number on Facebook, but when we stop and think that over 4,600 people have chosen to follow our little Yorkshire business, it feels pretty special.

Every follow, comment, share, recommendation and person who pops into the shop because they’ve seen us on here helps more than you probably realise. It allows our little business to keep growing, keeps our workshop busy and means we get to carry on doing something we genuinely love.

So whether you’ve been here from the early days, found us at a market, wandered into the shop or only followed us this week — thank you for being here. ❤️

How gorgeous are these?!

We’ve had a full restock from the fabulous Churchill-Chintz today and I genuinely don’t know which ones I’d choose.

The prints and cards are absolutely stunning, and the new framed pieces are VERY much up my street. I can already picture several of them coming home with me… occupational hazard of having beautiful things delivered to the shop.

Because apparently you lot are just as ready for cosy season as we are… our Autumn candles are already flying out of the door! 😂🕯️

And if you’re a wax melt person, you’re going to want to get yourself into the shop because we’ve just given the Pick & Mix a proper Autumn top-up, including some limited-edition seasonal fragrances that won’t be hanging around forever. 👀
