Unfortunately Yesterdays Budget confirmed the news we had been dreading..

UK V**E PRODUCTS DUTY WILL BE INTRODUCED 1ST OCTOBER 2026

A few key points regarding the announcement;
- VPD Will be Charged at a flat rate of £2.20 per 10ML
- It will be charged on va**ng products that are produced in, or imported into, the United Kingdom.
- The duty will apply to va**ng liquid which contains ni****ne and either or both glycerine and glycol or any liquid that is intended to be vapourised by a v**e and is not a medical or to***co product.

WHY YOU MIGHT ASK?
The government is committed to reducing the affordability and appeal of va**ng products, particularly among young people and non-smokers, while maintaining the financial incentive for smokers to switch to less harmful alternatives.

VPD is being introduced to reduce the number of people taking up va**ng, particularly non-smokers and young people, by reducing affordability.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
A 10ML Priced at £3 currently will increase to around £5.20
A 100ML Priced at £8 currently will increase to around £34.40 with 2x ni****ne shots

WHAT ARE OUR THOUGHTS?
We believe this is incredibly unfair given the health benefits over ci******es and the money saved long term on the NHS

The cost increase is completely arrogant and not a single bit of thought has gone into it, if anything it works out more cost effective to go higher in strength and use less.

We currently pay a fortune in VAT and Corporation Tax, The Duty was inevitable but the amount is a total miss, They have more chance of shutting independent v**e shops that are already contributing.

Whilst we will try our best to remain as competitive and pass on the saving wherever possible, the future is uncertain!

So sorry for the long post, RANT OVER!
