Let’s talk about…
Deciduous Azaleas - which are looking incredible right now!
They’re resilient shrubs that bloom from spring through summer and are part of the Rhododendron genus.
Unlike their evergreen counterparts, they shed their leaves in autumn, unveiling a stunning array of red, orange, and yellow hues before falling.
They’re loved by many not only for their strong fragrances, their ability to withstand frost, but also for their vivid blossoms in shades of yellow, orange, and pink.
Add them the woodland schemes or shady borders, where there is moist but well-draining soil. They prefer acidic soil with a PH between 4.5-6 and thrive in partial shade to full sun. Pick up some ericaceous compost to enhance soil acidity if needed. We have a few varieties in at the moment. Ask our staff if you need help on where and how to plant them.
