FRIDAY FLASHBACK: As we enter our third year in Coatbridge, very few will know that Scott is the third-generation of his lineage to operate a retail business in the bustling North Lanarkshire town. Pictured mid-repair is his Great Grandfather Johnny Irons, who was the town’s cobbler and is mentioned in the poem ‘Old Whifflet’ by Douglas Longmuir:

“And Johnny Irons’ cobbler shop,
a landmark in the street,
He saved our soles when full of holes,
and put us on our feet.”

A lot has changed in Coatbridge since then, but we’re still here serving the community by keeping toes tapping instead of feet walking.

Our next event through

We will be hosting our student showcase on Saturday the 23rd of November at Gartlea Community Centre.

Five of the next generation of musicians will be performing all of their own original material.

On the line up, we have .b_l_i_s_s._ ._band and The Touchdowns.

We welcomed Dr Liston's founder Keith Keough to Coatbridge for the installation of our new Dr Liston’s retail display and technician bench.
