Heading abroad this summer? Stay connected without the surprise bill!

As many of us head off on our summer holidays, we've seen an increase in customers receiving higher-than-expected mobile charges due to excessive data usage while roaming.

To help keep your costs under control:

✅ Connect to WiFi whenever possible – especially for streaming, video calls, app updates and cloud backups.
✅ Turn off automatic downloads and background app refresh when using mobile data.
✅ Check your roaming allowances before you travel.

Remember: All UK mobile networks operate a Fair Usage Policy when roaming. While many plans include data abroad, there are limits to how much you can use before additional charges may apply. Exceeding these allowances could result in unexpected costs.
