The police have given us information about a WhatsApp group that many children in West Cumbria have joined called "100 before 2027".

We would strongly urge all parents and carers to check their child’s phone to ensure they are not accessing or participating in this discussion and if necessary block the group.

Currently there is very little known about this chat, however it is known to encourage self harm and su***de. Police have been made aware of this through a Facebook post from a concerned parent.

If your child has joined the group or if you have any information about this group, please report this directly to the police.

All made with 100% cotton and food safe PUL lining (not all fabric wraps are food safe !)

A couple of weeks ago, I made some bowl covers to extend my eco- offering, as my Unpaper towels have been selling really well. I was asked whether my bowl covers were waxed, but they were not. This got me thinking about beeswax wraps. I did quite a bit of research and the best recipes use beeswax, pine resin and jojoba oil. However, I have been unable to find "FOOD SAFE" resin or jojoba in the UK. I could get organic versions, but they are not food safe (checked with the manufacturers) and also some people are allergic to the resin and to jojoba. I therefore decided to tweak my design. I have found a FOOD SAFE PUL fabric. designed specifically and certified for contact with food. I have now made bowl covers in three sizes and today I have made some SANDWICH and SNACK pouches. All can be wiped clean or washed after use, as the PUL fabric is waterproof and can be washed up to 60°C. The pretty side is 100% cotton. SO DITCH THE CLINGFILM !
I will be bringing some to my new regular craft fair with Arts & Crafts in Keswick at the congregational Hall on Lake Road on Friday this week (5th June). Come and see them for yourselves !
