The New Bookshop An independent bookshop and coffee shop in the heart of the Lake District A large contemporary bookshop with a great selection of books, cards and gifts.

Relaxed browsing with easy, level access throughout. We offer plenty of choice including a large choice of local books and a dedicated children’s section: knowledgeable staff are always on hand to offer advice and we provide a book ordering service which is often next day. We frequently hold events including authors visiting local schools, book launches and signings in the shop, our book clubs and

also children’s story telling on Wednesday mornings at 9:30. New and modern coffee shop at the rear with plenty of seating over two levels. Homemade cakes including gluten free, freshly prepared light lunches and proudly serving excellent Limini coffee and loose leaf speciality Suki and Eteaket teas.
