Stress isn’t the enemy.

It’s your body’s natural way of protecting you.

But when stress becomes chronic, your body can get stuck in survival mode and that’s often when you start noticing the signs:

✨ Poor sleep
✨ Low mood
✨ Skin flare-ups
✨ Feeling overwhelmed
✨ Frequent headaches
✨ Low energy

Your skin, sleep and mood aren’t working against you. They’re often messengers telling you your nervous system needs support.

The good news? Calm is a skill you can practise.

Small daily rituals can help signal safety to your body and create moments of calm throughout the day.

My favourite rituals are built around the three pillars of B Calm:

🌿 Home Calm – diffusing essential oils and adding them to baths/showers

🌿 On The Go Calm – roller balls and my keyring diffuser are always with me

🌿 Skin Calm – Mists, carrier oils and my Breathe Calm, Live Calm or Rest Calm blends, often paired with a gua sha massage

In summer, I love Rose Water Mist with Sweet Almond Oil. In winter, I switch to Sesame Oil for extra nourishment.

Breathe, Live and Rest Calm are my everyday favourites, and on challenging head days I always reach for a simple blend of Lavender, Lemon and Peppermint.

Because creating calm isn’t about perfection.

It’s about the small things you do consistently 🤍

When we’re overwhelmed, it’s difficult to think clearly because our nervous system is focused on helping us cope with stress, not slowing down to reflect.

This is why creating small moments of calm throughout the day matters.

One of my favourite ways to reset is with aromatherapy.

Our sense of smell is closely connected to the parts of the brain involved in emotions, memory and mood, which is why a familiar scent can instantly make you feel calmer, more grounded or more uplifted.

Next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, try this simple B Calm ritual:

✨ Add a few drops of Breathe Calm or Rest Calm to your diffuser
✨ Take 5 slow, steady breaths
✨ Make your exhale slightly longer than your inhale
✨ Give yourself one minute before responding, deciding or moving on to the next task

You don’t need an hour-long self-care routine.

Sometimes one minute is enough to help you pause, reset and move forward with a little more clarity.

That’s the power of creating calm, one breath at a time 🤍

This weekend reminded me that small business is never just about sales.

It’s about people.

The support, encouragement, shared stories, kindness and community behind the scenes that help keep you going even when things feel hard.

From borrowing a table from Stratford St Mary Hall, to Amy bringing beautiful dried flowers to help make the stand feel complete, supportive hubby 😍 to meeting incredible customers and passionate business owners along the way… I’m leaving Mind Body Spirit feeling very grateful 💛

Building B Calm has always been about connection, healing and creating calm in a very overwhelming world — and this weekend reminded me why that matters.

People often see the calm side of wellness events… but not always what it takes behind the scenes when you live with migraines and sensory overload.

The bright lights, noise, busy crowds and long days can be a lot on the nervous system, so I’ve learnt how important it is to support myself throughout the day with small calm rituals.

My rollerball blends, ear plugs, blue light glasses and taking little breathing moments genuinely help me keep going 💛

Creating B Calm came from my own healing journey, which is why these products are so personal to me.
