Steve has been out fishing and has had a fantastic catch! 🎣 We’ve got Dover sole, Skate, Huss, Flounder, Plaice, Bass and plenty more fresh fish in the counter today.

Beth has also been busy making our delicious smoked herring & vegetable chowder, and it’s all ready to go! 🥣

🎣 89 YEARS YOUNG… AND STILL OUT FISHING! 🎣

Now THIS is dedication! ❤️

At 89 years old, my father-in-law was up bright and early this morning, heading out on our fishing boat at 6am with the tide to catch some fresh fish for us to bring back and sell to you lovely customers! 🎣🌊

While some 89-year-olds might be enjoying a lie-in… he’s out at sea earning his keep! 😂👏

We’re now waiting patiently to see what he brings back in the boat — and you can be sure it’ll be fresh, local and caught with plenty of experience behind it! 🐟

89 years old and still out there doing what he loves. What a legend! ❤️🎣

🌡️ Unfortunately, due to the extreme temperatures today, we have made the difficult decision to close for the remainder of the day.

The heat is putting too much strain on our fish counters, and they are no longer able to keep our stock at the high standard and temperature that we insist upon.

As always, the quality and safety of our products comes first, so we feel this is the most responsible decision.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
