I realised I haven’t done a proper little life/book update in ages, so here goes… apparently I have been quite busy. 😂
Since the start of the year I’ve somehow managed to publish three new books:
📖 Pyramus & Thisbe in February
🐍 Curse of Tiresias in May
🔥 Legend of Empusa in August
Alongside that, I’ve also given the whole Myths Reborn series a bit of a glow-up — new branding, refreshed covers, re-edits, updated interiors and generally far too many hours spent moving things a millimetre to the left and deciding whether a moon was quite big enough. 😅
I’ve launched a blog and newsletter, started doing more behind-the-scenes mythology content, worked on getting the books into more places, and spent a frankly unreasonable amount of time thinking about Greek myths.
Outside of writing, I completed a special learning difficulties course, started a new role working more closely with SEND pupils, and I’m still doing daily yoga — which has somehow now been joined by a little bit of jogging too. I’m not claiming to be a runner just yet, but I have at least voluntarily gone outside and moved faster than a walk, which feels significant. 😂
There have also been audiobooks, admin, British Library bits, bookish projects, endless edits, new ideas, and the usual chaos of family life somewhere in between.
Looking back, I think the biggest change is that Myths Reborn finally feels like a proper, cohesive series now, rather than a collection of individual books I happened to write over time. And I’m really proud of how much it has grown.
So yes… that’s where I’ve been. Writing, editing, learning, stretching, occasionally jogging, and generally keeping myself far too busy. 😂
What have I missed while I’ve been buried under manuscripts and mythology? Tell me what you’ve been up to. 👇
