Video 19 of what fell out of my brain and now a functioning object... ;-*} OK itys a test bed for the larger one, but it works...

Haven't a clue how to do it with a Raspberry Pi nor an Arduino so electro mechanical here we go. Anyone who does, please get in touch...

The wiring caused by brain to go a bit fuzzy for a while but the real thing will be colour coded so I know what's what.

Once this is installed with a couple of minor adjustments to the laser head and motors I think we can go for a cut and see if this will do as I think it's going too...

I live by three rules, Science, Logic and Occam's Razor which I apply to the whole of my life and so far for this build its all worked out OK, so I'm hoping the extraction will too ;-}

Soz for the delay in getting the next round of videos up, but I've had a couple of hectic weeks and my partner hasn't been able to come to work due to illness.

How not to do an extraction, that’s part one, part to is rewind and do it properly...

I've also built two Seville Classics UltraHD Stainless Steel Rolling workshop cabinets supplied by The Garden Store Direct. I built two as they were supposed to send an 8 Drawer version but I got the 4 Drawer version instead.,.. A deal later and I had both.. So the 8 Drawer I've done an unboxing and build video, but that will have to wait as I need to get cutting carpets.

Hi All

My apologies for the silence over the past two weeks I've been working very long hours to get this laser cutter up and running. I've created a few videos and here they are. I'm no video editor so sorry.

I'm so close to cutting carpet out I can taste it, Im hoping this week to do a full calibration test and then the first set is an MG MGB RD so I can check it against my existing patterns.

Massive 60 plus hour gantry rebuild, including redesigned end plates (as I got it wrong) scraping the Z Axis belts in favour of a second closed loop stepper motor, rebuild the Laser head mount and finally last night the first three mirrors aligned.. Which is the best feeling ever..

Over 400 hours now and counting

Tonight the final mirror align and add the conversion lens to focus it to a tiny point... I can't wait....

Oh and yes we were both wearing protective eyewear and not cheap ones either 50 quid a pair. Protect your eyes people as they kind of help you t get to places...

Part 9, sorry I forgot to add part 8 but its in the Youtube list, but this one is far more useful.
I'm so close to firing this up i can taste it.
Add the water and plus in the pipes, add the mirrors and plumb in the power wires and then we're ready for alignment so this week is the week I attempt to cut something out... hopefully.
Oh and a few have asked me to stop breathing heavily and star chatting so thats what I did.. Sorry for the rambles but if you know me .. then that's no surprise.

We are so close now i can taste it...

But for now till the end of the week I have to concentrate on cutting my customers carpets out, by hand.

Hoping next week I'll be laser cutting my first set of templates, that being a Lotus Europa.

Sorry for the silence, it's been one hell of a year.
.. And I've just realised that the biggest project I've ever undertaken/created is on my Josh Ingram page and not here...

I'm rubbish with Facebook being a dizzy dyslexic I find the whole thing completely confusing.
