A heads-up about prices from October… 🧐

You may have seen in the news that the Government is introducing a new tax on these products from 1st October 2026. 😯

The new Government duty is £2.20, which becomes £2.64 once VAT is added for every 10ml of liquid, including ni****ne-free products, so unfortunately it will affect prices across the industry.

We know everyone is already feeling the pinch, so we’ve done what we can to prepare. 🤗

We’ve invested in extra stock ahead of the changes, which means we’re hoping to hold onto our current good prices for as long as we can before the increased costs eventually filter through. 😉🥰

We can’t stop the tax coming in, but we can do our best to look after our customers, and that’s exactly what we intend to do. 💛

We are celebrating this huge milestone at our sister shop, and we’re especially proud because V**e and Go isn’t far behind... next year we’ll be celebrating this big anniversary too! 🥳

In a world where shops can come and go, we’re really proud to be part of two long-established local businesses that have been here for years, building trust, looking after customers and doing things properly. 🥰

Today marks 10 years of V**e Cabin serving St Osyth and the surrounding community, and we honestly couldn't be prouder. ❤️

Ten years of welcoming customers through our door. Ten years of answering questions, offering advice, getting to know so many of you and doing our very best to help people who want to make a change. 🫶

But there's something else we're particularly proud of today...

After 10 years in business, we continue to take our responsibilities incredibly seriously. We've maintained an exemplary record with the police and Trading Standards, including during anonymous checks. 😁

We believe products like ours are for adults only. No exceptions. 🔞

We haven't started talking about doing things properly because it's in the news... it's how we've run V**e Cabin from day one.

And perhaps the biggest achievement of all is that we are still here. 🥰

A little sneak preview... 👀

Something brand new is on the way, and we’ve managed to get an early look at the GOTEK Pro 2, due to launch around mid-September. 😉

It comes with a powerful 2500mAh built-in battery, 3 adjustable power levels, a clear segment display and compatibility with the existing GOTEK Series Pods.

And yes... there’ll be a choice of colours too. 🙌

There's been a lot of discussion about v**e shops in the news recently.

Whatever changes come in the future, one thing won't change for us...

We believe these products are for adults only, and we're proud to play our part in helping adult smokers move away from ci******es. 💯

We fully support strong measures to protect young people and responsible retailing. In fact, if it helps raise standards across the industry, we're all for it. 👏

What we'd never want to see is adult smokers thinking there's no difference between smoking and va**ng. According to the NHS, va**ng is significantly less harmful than smoking and remains one of the most effective tools for adults trying to quit ci******es. ✅

At V**e and Go, we don't just sell products. We take the time to answer questions, help people find what's right for them, and support those who want to reduce their ni****ne over time. 🤗

That's the way we've always done things, and it's the way we'll continue to do them.

We're really pleased to share that we've just passed another Trading Standards age verification test with flying colours!! 💛

Last week, someone came into the shop looking to make a purchase. As part of our normal process, we asked for ID. When they told us they didn't have any with them, we politely explained that we couldn't serve them without it. 🤗

About 30 seconds later, representatives from Trading Standards and the Police came into the shop and revealed it had been an official test purchase. 👮🧑‍💼📋

We're delighted to say we passed, and they even complimented us on our approach, telling us our record is exemplary. 👏🥳

For us, this isn't about passing a test. It's about doing the right thing every single day. 💯💯💯

We've always said that these products are for adults who have chosen va**ng as an alternative to smoking, and we'll continue to take our responsibilities seriously by following the regulations and protecting young people. 🫶

There’s been a lot of discussion in the news recently about va**ng, regulations and how products should be sold.

One thing we do know is this…

If an adult smoker wants to move away from ci******es, they deserve access to good advice, quality products and people who genuinely care about helping them make that switch. 💯

That's exactly why we do what we do. 🥰

We're fully supportive of stronger measures to protect young people. In fact, we'd happily see even tighter controls on where these products can be sold if it meant better standards, better education and fewer under-18s being exposed to them. 🔞

Our shop has always been for adults. We take our responsibilities seriously, we follow the regulations, we carefully check ID where needed, and we're always here to help our customers long after they've made a purchase.

What worries us most isn't stronger regulation. It's when people begin to believe there's no difference between smoking and va**ng. 🤯

For an adult smoker who is looking to quit, va**ng remains a significantly less harmful alternative than continuing to smoke, and that's why so many people have successfully made the switch over the years.

Our job has never been to encourage people to start. It's to help adults who already smoke move in a healthier direction and, where possible, gradually reduce their ni****ne too. 🤗

That's the ethos our shops were built on, and it's something we're incredibly proud of. 💛
