YARD SALE 10am Sun (18thNov).
A new business will take over the barn in the spring so we though it would be a good time to have a huge household clearout. We have an array of household goods, vintage items, very well looked after children’s toys as well as lots of Christmas items. The yard sale will be held in the barn at 10am tomorrow (Sunday 18th Nov). As this is a personal sale and no longer a business there is no card payment facility in the barn. Here are some pictures, okay it doesn’t look as good as it did when it was a shop but you can still get a bargain!

Missing - Presumed kidnapped (Stolen)...... Our children's (age 8 & 10) art project for Halloween was stolen last night. This concrete Grim Reaper was chained up outside down at Baythorne End. I tried to move it yesterday but he was too heavy and so was stuck in the car park behind a fence and today he is missing. If anyone spots him out and about, or maybe abandoned in a ditch somewhere then please let us know. Maybe when the thieves wonder why they stole such a useless object that weighs a lot and is hard to store, they will dump it somewhere. In the scheme of things it's of little monetary value escpecally when related to what others have had stolen lately, but it took my children and neighbour weeks to make and they wanted it for a creepy video they were planning to make. They must have used a larger vehicle and it's certainly a two man lift. Unless of course the reaper just spirited himself away...... Nevertheless I have two sad kids.

NEWS!...Some very sad, some good, some very good and some even better……
After 6 wonderful seasons of running the Christmas barn have found this year we no longer have the time to commit to another season. We started another business almost 2 years ago which has gone from strength to strength, this involve a lot of evening and weekend work for me. That, coupled with two college courses and a busy family life means we are (like most families) stretched a little too thin. I ran the Christmas barn because I loved it, I loved the crafts, the makers, the setting up and all the customers, many of which became friends But it did take a huge effort from August to Jan. The good news is, we will still sell the lovely locally grown and freshly cut Christmas Trees From December and the very good news is they will now be sold by us just a few yards down the road from Baythorne Hall. You’ll now be able to choose your tree and your Christmas drinks at one stop and evening enjoy a delicious lunch at the same time. The very good news is we will soon have an approx.(up to) 60ftx20ft barn to rent out. We are in the process of installing water and sewage to make it self contained, A perfect space for another business, workshop or similar. Perfectly located at a busy junction. The “even better news” will have wait until my next post…
