This right here is what I’m talking about. The reason I get up every day and what makes it all worthwhile.

Sat on the beach, paying £10 for a slushy and an ice cream and watching my daughter just being allowed to be 12 years old, swimming in the muddy waters of Weston-Super-Mare.

Not often kids are allowed to be kids these days, but just to see her away from social media and being able to be make-up free and away from all the stigmas of what you should look, dress like and act like is so refreshing.

Suddenly realised that I’ve never introduced myself. How rude.

Hi! 👋 I’m Donna; I’m 51 (for another month and a bit) and I’m the person behind the madness that is Muggly!

Originally from Surrey, I now live in the beautiful Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire with my partner, Daughter & 3 crazy dachshunds, and Muggly has been my baby since 2024!

We try to bring you ‘out of the box’ designs, along with your regular, mainstream stuff for those less dark and horrendous people 😉 I also don’t judge, so if you have an idea for a mug, T-shirt, coaster or even anything that we don’t currently do, come chat with us and we’ll do whatever we can to make it a reality 🙂

I LOVE to promote other businesses.

Whether they do what we do or are completely different; as long as they’re good then they deserve some praise!

Sweet Success are a cake company based in Nottingham - Mr Muggly and I are having a bit of a ceremony later on this Summer, and we we’re looking at ways to cut costs as everything is so expensive. I found Sweet Success on FB and their prices are SO good, but cake can be good or not so good.

OH. MY. GOD.

Breakfast this morning consisted of cake. And it was OUTSTANDING. Not just one or two, but EVERY flavour. And there’s 8, plus a fruit cake! And seperate sugar paste icing!

Seriously. If you like cake and have an event coming up, I’m not saying you shouldn’t support cake businesses who make everything for you. But I’m attempting to make a 3 tier cake and via Sweet Success this is going to bring my costs from £200+ down to £40. You heard that right. FORTY POUNDS.

And our favourite? The vegan version. And we’re not even vegan!

What INSTANTLY identifies someone is from the UK?

For me personally, it’s the fact that if someone bumps into me, I automatically say sorry…. 🙈

Anyone else got their stuff that they do, or anyone from outside the UK have anything that distinguishes us from the rest? 🙈
