Our family of Sue, Rachel and Lizzie took over the Garden Shop on 1st July, and opened the Cafe shortly after. This winter theinside of the shop has been completely refurbished using recycled pallets to display our fabulous range of gifts and homewares! There is also a full range of composts, tools, pots and sundries. Please ask for help from our staff if required. We have seating around the plant

s, and a wonderfully calm and quiet spot to relax over coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea. Our food is all cooked to order and made from locally sourced ingredients, cakes to die for (though when we cut them all the calories fall out, so that's good then!).

It's been a busy summer!

BUT there's always more to do in the garden.

Here are a few things to be getting on with.
🥀 Prune climbing roses and rambling roses once they've finished flowering (unless they are repeat-flowerers in which case leave them).

🌽 Collect ripened seed and store for next year in paper envelopes (remember to label them!). 🐦‍⬛ Leaving some seed heads in place can be attractive and allows the plant to self-seed in the surrounding soil as well as being a source of food for the birds.
