Creating colour themes for potential projects is like a little hobby all of its own 🥰

I love finding unexpected combos and turning them into a fab project.

These pretty colours came from my Yarn Stash Colour Picker, a fun tool my hubby built to help you pick colour combos so you can match your stash. Because sometimes, the perfect palette is already waiting in your yarn stash 🥰

I’m not sure what I’ll make with these but I’m thinking a baby blanket or cardigan - what would you make?

You can find the tool in my bio - click my web link and choose Tips forMakers from the top menu - it's right there😊

Amigurumi was where it all began for me. My very first published designs were fibre food and amigurumi toys, and they always made me smile. My first business name was Cakes, Knits and Cosies 😅

Day 4 • : Favourite Make

This strawberry pattern is over 15 years old now, one of my earliest designs, and it’s still one of my most popular free patterns, which makes me really happy. https://knitcrochetcreate.co.uk/2024/03/free-crochet-strawberry-pattern/

It’s a big reminder that small beginnings often grow into the strongest journeys. Who’d have thought I’d still have a knitting and crochet businesses after 16 years 🥰

Thanks to you all for being here and supporting me 🙌

Now it’s your turn - what are your favourite things to make?

Is there a rainbow hiding in your stash?
If you’re anything like me, then there are probably hundreds waiting patiently 😆🌈

Day 2 • Rainbow

Maybe it’s time to turn those scraps into something bright and cheerful — a mini mandala, a rainbow keyring, a sampler square to try a new stitch, or a colourful coaster.

Sometimes the tiniest scraps make the happiest things 🧶🌈

What would you make with your rainbow scraps?

Day 1 - This Is Me
Colourful • Stash‑Busting • Mindful Making ✨

✔️ I love helping you to use your stash so you can save your cash (for more yarn of course!! 😂🧶).
✔️ I believe every scrap has potential — even the tiniest pieces can become something useful 🍓
✔️ I love playing with colour and helping you find the perfect colour combos hiding in your stash 🎨🧶.
✔️ Sharing free patterns from the last 16 years of business over on my blog - so we can celebrate the joy of making and creativity together 🌟💛

Above all else, crafting is my calm. I love to relax and enjoy the rhythm of stitches as I knit or crochet 🥰 🧘‍♀️

What colour makes you happiest to crochet or knit with? Mine is currently green and pink 💚☘️🍏🌸💖🌺

Free pattern alert for these cute little squares from my latest Search Press Books book: Twenty To Make Knitted Dishcloths.
https://knitcrochetcreate.co.uk/2026/08/free-scrubby-knitting-pattern/

I’ve included a tutorial for duplicate stitch too 🩷

You can use them for all sorts of things - little dish scrubbies, face cleanser pads, or even blanket squares. I think they’d look lovely as a full blanket 🥰🥰

I’ll share a peak inside the book soon too - so keep a look out 📚📚📚
