This summer I've been catching up on the and the comments discussing them have been great to see other perspectives.
First up, Osman's first novel...a murder mystery. This isn't my go-to genre, however it caught my eye and as I'd heard so many people discussing it, I had to have a read. He's got a follow up due out next year!
As well as joining in the chat in comments if you've already read it, I'm also selling it as a second hand copy for £3.

Alongside our Summer Reading Challenge, the Teachers’ Reading Challenge starts today! Open to all education and school and public library staff, as well as trainee teachers, the challenge invites participants to join a supportive and inspired community, set their own reading goal, share reviews, access resources and share examples of practice.

This year, we have introduced three levels, designed to encourage participants to reflect on and apply their learning.

🥉 Bronze –Log at least six books read and publish reviews for at least three of them.
🥈 Silver – Download the poster and diary, and complete a short questionnaire about how you’ve engaged with the Teachers’ Reading Challenge
🥇 Gold – Submit an example of practice to the OU Reading for Pleasure’s website, demonstrating how you’ve applied your knowledge and understanding to your work with children.

It has a collection of fun, mindful activities to help children (and adults!) unworry. Create a worry box, go on a sense safari, get lost in stories and lots more. The activities in it are designed for children aged 6-11.
