What a brilliant afternoon in Cottingham today as another fantastic group of budding artists took their first steps into the colourful world of copper-foil stained glass! 🪟✨

Today’s “Scrappy Bird” taster workshop was packed with creativity, concentration, laughter, and a surprising amount of hidden talent. From complete beginners to curious creatives looking to try something new, every single participant embraced the process and produced beautiful stained glass birds to take home with pride.

It’s always inspiring to watch confidence grow throughout the session — learning how to foil, solder, and assemble glass into unique handcrafted artwork in just a 1 hour! The results today were absolutely outstanding, and everyone should be incredibly proud of what they achieved.

Another fantastic session in our Wonderful Wednesday Workshops!

It was a pleasure helping Jane Marsden from Filey put the finishing touches to her beautiful stained glass window. Together we straightened the panel, completed the final preparation work and got it ready for double glazing encapsulation — the perfect way to protect and display stained glass in modern homes.

Jane has learned so much throughout this creative journey, developing her skills and confidence step by step, and the finished piece is absolutely wonderful. We’re incredibly proud of what she has achieved!

✨ Another beautiful restoration brought back to life! ✨

This double glazed self-adhesive vinyl leaded window had seen better days — with sections of lead needing replacement and the sealed unit having misted up over time. We carefully repaired, rejuvenated and restored the panel, giving it a fresh new lease of life while keeping its original character and charm. 🪟🌿
