Super Sized Party Rings! 💝

If you follow my stories you’ll have seen that I was posting about this custom order a lot back in December, but then they never made it to a grid post! (Possibly because I was mad at myself for not ironing the background haha)

This order was for a friend’s child, and when we were deciding on whether we wanted the Party Rings to look how they do now, or how they looked in the 90s, it was hard to decide! So we thought, why not both? ✨

Each one measures about 17cm in diameter, so much larger than the real thing!

There have been a lot of disappointing updates from various UK organisations recently and I realised I’d never outright posted anything on this account so here it is: Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Trans kids should be able to just be kids without being excluded. If you don’t agree with that, I’m more than happy for you to unfollow ✨

Last Posting Dates for Christmas 2025:

Friday 19th December is the last date by Royal Mail for their Tracked 48 service, so any orders made on Thursday 18th December will be guaranteed for Christmas, any beyond that date may not make it in time! ✨

A few weeks ago I got to take part in a really fun creative project: creating my own version of the logo for mutual aid fund. Lots of other creatives did the same, which were then show on ad_ad_ad’s twitch stream, with a small auction at the end, to raise money for the fund 💖

Here’s a little more info: “Cupburger Mutual Aid is a mutual support network setup to provide a beacon of hope and support to members of our community when they need it most. Ensuring that every person has access to the financial help and assistance they need to navigate tough times, reinforcing that we are stronger when we stand together. Born from online community, our mission is rooted in solidarity, resilience, and the belief that support should have no barriers.”

✨ Ever had a cake so good you wanted to keep it? This customer contacted me with just that request, and here’s what they said on Facebook:

“3 years ago my daughter and I went to London for a few days. One day we had a tour and tea at Windsor castle. It was beautiful and a lovely day. I chose a blackcurrant macaroon to eat but it was a shame to eat it cos it was a work of art. The very talented Kimberley Sew Cakey has recreated it for me. Can you tell which is which?? It’s beautiful and not fattening either!!!❤️“

⛏️ Pixel Perfect Minecraft Cake!

I realised I never posted this after completing it back in May! This was a real labour of love, probably not something I’d attempt again as it was very fiddly - but I’m glad I did it!

The hardest part was finding so many different shades of brown felt, and some of the subtle a differences in the white felts don’t show well in the photograph.

Not everything I make ends up in the shop, but projects like this remind me why I love working with felt in the first place! ✨

✨ Curious about what it’s like to order a custom piece from me? It always depends on how complex the idea is, but here’s a lovely example I made earlier this year!

A customer originally asked about doughnuts that could be attached to hair clips for her daughter to wear to a performance. After a little chat, we realised a mini doughnut headband would be the best fit! 🍩

I sent some felt colour options to match her costume, and we settled on this sweet little trio. After agreeing on the price and timescale I started stitching! Along the way I shared a couple of in-progress photos, as well as photos of the finished headband.

The best part for me? Seeing a photo of her daughter wearing it afterwards! Moments like that are what make custom orders so special for me. 🥰

✨ In my shop you’ll see two categories: Ready to Ship and Made to Order — but what’s the difference?

🍰 Ready to Ship: These treats are already stitched and waiting to be posted. They’re perfect for last-minute gifts! Colours are fixed to what’s listed, and while they might vary slightly from the photo, I put the same care and detail into everything I make.

🧵 Made to Order: These pieces are handmade for you after purchase. Sometimes that’s because I don’t have stock ready, and sometimes it’s because you’d like a twist on one of my designs (like macarons in a different colour). This option lets you personalise without going for a full custom order!

💕 One of my favourite things to do is take something I’ve already made… and shrink it down even smaller! Like these mini doughnuts, they’re just too cute.

Surprisingly, I haven’t made many of my other felt treats in miniature yet. Macarons, fondant fancies, cake slices… what should I shrink down next? ✨
