As Santa Claus makes his last rounds at Christmas house in preparation for the big run he mulls over the year he has had and the many stories he has shared in his letters this year. He always loves hearing how his little ones are getting along. As Mrs Claus calls him frmthe kitchen with a mug of coco he smiles …

Well that’s a wrap for this years letters. I’d like to thank you all for your continued support and I hope the letters have brought as much joy to you as they did to me as I penned them. We have raised a grand total of £70 for guys gift ( and I’ll share the donation receipt with you soon). But for now I’d like to wish you and yours a very merry Yuletide and may you share this time with those you love and who love you.

I think one of my favourite portrayals of the Spirit of Christmas was from the books by Raymond Briggs, later turned into a film in 1991 ( and voiced my the talented Mel Smith). I love the idea of him living in a terraced house in a town somewhere and his poor postman delivery truckloads of letters. The image of him going home and warming his feet by the fire before heading to bed with the dog and cat ,warm my heart.

I try to bring an echo of that into the letters with a little insight into life at Christmas House, and what he, Mrs Claus, Ursu the polar bear and all the elves and thier friends get up to in the year. One feature from this year is they are redecorating, and a slight mishap on the stairs has lead to them all being painted Racing car Green.

There is still a few slots left before the final post date on the 20th and we prepare for ( to quote the film) “ another bloomin Christmas” 🎅🪶

I think my favourite step in writing my letters, after drafting the actual letter itself, is preparing the envelope. Each gets a North Pole Stamp and postmark, Return address and wax seal complete with gold and silver colouring 🎅🪶

I have been writing my letters for a few years now and as much as I love spreading some special Christmas magic there is one thing that has never sat right with me. I have never felt comfortable profiting from them hence why I I have never to date charged more than £5 a letter plus any postage.

So this festive season, I have decided to partner with Guys Gift - a charity based in my home county of Warwickshire that help children and young people who are going through grief and separation. They will receive 100% of the money I get from the letters this year to help with the vital and amazing work they do all year round.

I personally have some amazing memories of Christmas and I hold them very dear to my heart, as such I want to help those young ones that won’t have that this Yuletide. I feel that this is what the Spirit of Christmas himself would want me to do with the money. I thank you all for your continued support of Santas Quill and I encourage you to take a look yourselves at the wonderful things Guys Gift are doing.

Having finished all of his letters for this year, Santa can really focus on the preparations for the big Christmas Eve run. For now though he can sit with Mrs Claus in their cosy drawing room and watch the snow fall with a warming cup of coco.

Here at Santas Quill HQ we are now shutting up shop for the festive season, so we will unfortunately not be able to take any more orders till next year. I would like to thank all who helped me spread some festive magic again this year and for all of your continued support. I wish you all a merry Yuletide and may you celebrate the season as you would wish to. May it’s magic stay with you all the year through.

Here at Christmas House, the letters are leaving Santas study in a steady flow. His fingers turning black with ink and his quill resting in its stand, Santa can take a moment to consider the festive season and all the special memories it holds.

I very recently went to watch a performance of my favourite Christmas film with a fantastic chamber orchestra. As the band stirred I was transported back across the years to being a little lad in new Christmas pjs and waiting for Santa. I remembered the peace, the love and all the magic.

I hope your festive preparations are going well. There are still a few days left to get any last minuet letter orders in before the last post day on Friday (20th).

What has Santa been up to in 2024?

These are the 4 options we are presenting this year for you to choose from that Santa has been up to.

1) the annual reindeer sports day: find out how the games have gone and who has proven to be the fastest and steadiest fliers

2) the visit from the ice faires: the king and queen of the ice faires came to stay for a while in spring.

3) the polar pancake party: Santa and the great north polar bear held a pancake party for the elves

4) Santas garden: the jolly man in red tried growing some vegetables this year, has he grown enough for Christmas dinner?

How does Santas Quill Work?

Once you get in touch ther are just 5 simple steps to getting your letter and spreading some Christmas magic.

Step 1 - which sort of letter?
Choose from one of the following options:
1) baby’s first Christmas £5 + post
2 )Letter from Santa £8 + post
3) Letter from Santa paws £5 + post

Step 2 - personalisation
We can add in any details to make your letter completely unique, such as:
* big achievements from the year
* Family traditions
* mention your Elf-on-the-shelf
* anything from their letter to Santa
* sign from Father Christmas or Santa Clause.
* were possible I keep draughts from previous years to reference

Step 3 - Santas year
To help bring the jolly man in red to life, I include a short paragraph on what Santa has been doing this year. Choose from 4 stories or include your own.

Step 4 - we write a draught and send to you for final approval

Step 5 - we put our quill to work and hand write every letter and seal inside an envelope with wax

Here at Christmas House, as the summer begins to wane and the night grow longer, Santas thoughts turn to all his hard work ahead. No doubt the first of his many letters will begin arriving soon, and it will be time to sit at his desk in the study and begin to read what the millions of children around the world have asked of him and his team.

We are taking orders for our letters from Santa as of now! Though the festive season may seem far away there are but 17 short weeks till Christmas.

The first 10 orders will get there letters for £5, after that they will be £8. We are also offering a “ Baby’s first Christmas” letter this year too, to welcome any new names on Santas lists. We can even write a letter from Santa to your fur baby’s too.

All our letters are hand written with quill and ink, sealed with a wax seal from the spirit of Christmas, and personalised so they are all completely unique.
