As many of you might have heard Ride will soon be pulling down the shutters for good . It’s been an amazing ride and nothing but a fantastic success. We opened in February 1999 and when we close for good in September we will have served cyclists, skateboarders and scooter enthusiasts for nearly 25 years . Thankyou to all that have supported us and sorry it couldn’t go on for ever. Things have changed hugely for small businesses and especially in retail. We will be leaving the shop with many great memories and very proud of the business we had and the jobs it provided, all those who worked with us over the the years played their part in our success. We are due to close on the 23rd of September and have many items in our final closing down sale so will be happy to see customers new and old . Thankyou , Paul and Darren Atkins.

So today’s good deed was to remove a seized Titanium bolt from inside a Campagnolo Super record chainset, with the Allen head rounded the only option was to drill the bolt head off hoping to release the crank arms . The drills I had at the shop didn’t even start to work so after taking advice from a friend who knows his s**t I got on my bike and headed down to screw fix to fetch a 14mm carbide drill bit and some cutting paste. If this didn’t work it was going to cost the customer around £750 for a replacement chainset. It has made my day to be able to tell the customer that he won’t need any more than a new titanium bolt £39.A lot of the jobs we do we don’t have to we just want to, we love bikes.

We have just created this stunning Moda legato carbon Gravel/ adventure bike. Fully integrated cables give this bike a real aero look .
Assembled using Shimano GRX600 and Hunt alloy wide Disc wheels this is a fast and fun bike that can go absolutely anywhere. The paintwork on these bikes is outstanding and if you looking for something a little different you may have just found it.
