As a stay at home mum, I wanted to find something that could help me bring in an income but that I was also interested in. I decided to sell Usborne Books at Home as they are beautiful books for children of all ages and since having Carys, I feel even more strongly about encouraging children to enjoy books as they grow up.

💜Do a job you love!! 💜
A little over 3 years ago I decided (for the third time!) to join Usborne. I had become a single parent and needed to top up my income...and fast! I'd tried it twice before but it just wasn't the right time for me.
But this time it stuck, I found a team of like-minded ladies who were supportive, motivating...or just left me alone when I was feeling anti-social 😉 we have since grown to 300+ and my personal team is now over 10 ❤ and the support hasn't changed. I've made good friends and met some amazing people and together they form an amazing and EPIC community in my phone!
All of this I've done while working from home. The best bit? During lockdown was able to earn while being constantly there for my children. Oh and they haven't complained at all the free books I've given them either😍

During these 3 years I've also started working for myself and my businesses run happily side by side.

Happiness is...knowing you can support your family in the hardest of times....so who wants to join me?

Please forgive the random image but I thought I'd take a picture of my office today 😂

I've been challenged with sharing 31 reasons why I love my business. Now...I'm not sure I can come up with 31 but I'm going to write this post and give it a go!

1, This picture...winter is coming and this is me 'working'. Fancy forgetting the commute on cold and rainy days? Check!
2, My mentor ❤ the lovely Laura is a daily inspiration of what I can achieve if I learn to manage my time more effectively 🙈😂
3, My mentor ❤ yes...she's going on here twice! Not only am I always in awe of her time management but I gained a friend the day I was randomly allocated to her team! I could have been assigned to anyone but I am grateful every day that I got her :)
4, Free books for my children - I didn't use to give my two many free books but during lockdown they were a godsend. From activities for rainy days, jigsaws or educational books...we've had them all!
5, Our encylopedia! One of our freebies but I won't ever get tired of seeing Carys going to it for reference...a nice change from relying on google!
6, Our David Lloyd membership. After lockdown it was a huge relief to be able to get back out. We've loved swimming frequently and Carys and Iwan love the sports sessions - Usborne is paying for it!
7, Our wider divisional team. The support we get from Epic is amazing. Training sessions, advice, sharing the work load as team leaders...the list just goes on.
8, Our divisional leader Vikki! Where this lady gets her daily motivation from I have no idea but she is constantly 'buzzing' and passes that on to us all with her enthsiasm ❤
9, Ok let's talk money, during lockdown I couldn't go out to earn. Usborne paid for my council tax, gas, electric, water...and more. And thank goodness it did ❤
10, Flexibility....I've worked all day but from home. And now I'm off to pick up Carys and Iwan from school.

To be continued.....only 10 into the list but Usborne is flexible and so as I said in number 10, I can now put it down to go and do the school run ❤

Did you know that I train first aid by day? Now that businesses are back and schools are open I've been run off my feet. I've trained 5 lifeguard sessions in the last 9 days alone 😲

But during lockdown it was Usborne that brought the money in....Usborne that helped to pay the bills ❤

I love my training business but Usborne was a lifeline during lockdown. Not only did it bring extra money in when I was one of those unlucky people that slipped through the financial help net from the government, it also gave me a wonderful community of ladies in my phone to help keep my motivation and spirits up in the strangest of times!

Yeaterday I was out training Paediatric First Aid at a nursery and I spotted their almost empty bookshelf. Sadly they have had to remove most of their usual books due to Covid restrictions. But I did spot some of our wonderful 'That's Not My' range which had survived the cull!

Not only are they sturdy books with safe rounded corners....turns out they are also good for wiping clean! ❤

Good morning!! I'm excited to share this months new titles with you and I have to say there are some absolute beauties on the mix this month 😍

I very much have my eye on a few for Carys and Iwan so I'm hoping to nab us some freebies from my allowance.

They both had a book from my cupboard yeaterday, I've been stocking up on books for them from my free book allowance ready for the days when I'm dishing out treats and rewards.

21 months ago I decided (for the third time!) to join Usborne. I had become a single parent and needed to top up my income...and fast! I'd tried it twice before but it just wasn't the right time for me.

But this time it stuck, I found a team of like-minded ladies (and now the occasional man too!) who were supportive, motivating...or just left me alone when I was feeling anti-social ;) we have since grown to 300+ and my personal team is now over 35 ❤ and the support hasn't changed. I've made good friends and met some amazing people and together they form an amazing and EPIC community in my phone!
