Jo's Objects of Desire I buy & sell personally sourced, decorative art objects. These quirky items are mainly from the 20th These quirky objects reflect my own creativity & aesthetics.

My love of the Decorative Arts has led me to the buying & selling of unusual items - Jo's Objects of Desire. I have been working as a professional fine artist for 25 years, and now my curiosity has taken me to a new world. All the objects are personally sourced by me, and are an eclectic mix, primarily from the 20th Century. I am passionate that the objects we place in our personal space, be that

a room, a house or a garden, are objects of desire. My philosophy to living is influenced by such people as -
William Morris (1834 -1896):
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Jim Ede (1895 - 1990):
"the place (his home, Kettles Yard) is only alive when used."

MALVERN FLEA

This Saturday I’ll be setting up in readiness for Sunday’s Malvern Flea.

Find me in the centre of Avon Hall.

I’ll be there, possibly a bit blurry eyed, but with a smile, at 5.30am, when trade buyers can now enter.

If you’re coming, do pop by & say hello, it’s always lovely to catch up with everyone, no matter how brief it is, you know you make my day.

THE BIDDING ROOM IS BACK!

SUFFOLK HOUSE

I think I must have a homing pigeon gene in me somewhere!

Every so often I have this overwhelming desire to return to my home county of Suffolk. The prospect of visiting the opening of a new antique shop there, was just the excuse I needed.

Dear followers I give you the joy that is Suffolk House in the delightful town of Yoxford. Jenny has gathered together several dealers, & as you can see, they have create a feast for your eyes.

Do visit her account for all the details, & better still visit in person. Right I’d better take Syd & Suzie for a walk, in that glorious Suffolk countryside.

THE LUCIOLE

This past week I have been sharing on stories my holiday on the beautiful
It was a very special trip to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary earlier this year.

It was lovely taking you with me, & engaging, whilst we were cruising along the Canal du Nivernais. I love how through Instagram I can send you all a virtual postcard!

Here are a few highlights of our week, traveling between Auxerre and Clamecy. Treasures were found, with my suitcase coming back heavier - do you have that problem?!
