👏 As a small, independent balloon business serving Fife for over 30 years, we fully support this message.
At Balloons at Hallmark, we believe balloons should bring joy without harming our wildlife or environment.
We never encourage balloon releases and always promote responsible balloon use and disposal.
🎈 Enjoy your balloons, then !
A simple message we’ve been sharing with our customers for years. 💜

Please protect our environment, wildlife and livestock
We’re asking local people not to release helium balloons or sky lanterns. While they may seem like a meaningful way to celebrate or remember someone, they can have a lasting impact on local wildlife, farm animals and the environment.
Balloons and lantern debris can travel miles before landing in fields, parks, woodlands, beaches or the sea. Wildlife can become tangled in the materials or mistake them for food, while the waste can also injure livestock.
Sky lanterns carry an additional risk as they contain an open flame and can cause fires when released.
We've already banned the intentional release of helium balloons and sky lanterns from all council-owned land and property, including parks and other green spaces.
Many people are already aware of the dangers of helium balloons or sky lanterns and know not to release them. Thank you for choosing safer and more environmentally friendly ways to celebrate special occasions or remember loved ones. Your support is helping protect our wildlife, countryside and coastline. 🙏🌿
