Hope Vineyard is a new church and charity in Oxford Come and join us! We'd love to meet you.

Hope Vineyard is a new church in Oxford loving people, loving God and living authentic lives together inspired by Jesus. We have smaller Life Groups meeting mid-week, and we're engaged in the community throughout the week and run a number of projects, including a children's clothes and equipment bank called 'Small Steps', at Templars Square Shopping Centre (OX4 3XX). Sunday gatherings are each week from 10am:
- Twice a month there is Sunday Service (1st & 3rd Sunday), and
- Twice a month we have Sunday Breakfast (2nd & 4th Sunday). All ages welcome with provision for children each week, and see website for updates.

Secular and Christian news outlets and various pieces of research and data seem to be pointing to an uptake in interest in spirituality over the last few years, especially amongst younger people. This is borne out in stories coming out of churches across the UK. All of this is set against a backdrop of societal anxiety about the state of our country and world. These are both important and exciting times and as a church we want to be prepared for whatever God might want to do here in Oxford.

Last Sunday we began a new series to help us become more alert to the spiritual climate around us and to develop our hunger for and confidence in God's power to do the 'immeasurably more'. Josh speaks this Sunday on the significance of unity amongst God's people and of prayer in both Biblical and historical examples of spiritual awakenings.

We can't wait to see what God's spirit will do on Sunday morning and we'd love you to join us. There's no better place to be!

If you're new to the city, maybe starting uni or a new job, maybe curious yourself about God or looking for a church family to call home, then we'd love to give you an extra big, warm welcome.

God is stirring hearts in our nation, more hearts than we've seen in many years. We want to be prepared for whatever this new thing looks like here in Oxford so we're beginning a new teaching series called 'waking up'. We'll be exploring spiritual awakenings in history, most notably what has come to be known as Pentecost. What they are, why and how they begin and are sustained and how to position ourselves for God to transform lives with his mercy. It's going to be an exciting time to be at Hope Vineyard over the next few weeks 🙌

We'd love your company so why not join us for our service this Sunday at 10am (doors open at 9.45am). No prior knowledge or experience of God or church is needed. Just come as you are.

You are invited to celebrate our birthday this weekend. It's been 9 years since a handful of people first gathered in a home to seek the Lord about a new church in Oxford and here we still are. Fundamentally this is not about us, what we've done. Sunday will be a celebration of who our God is, the one who changes lives and is better than anything the world can offer us. We want to continue being part of the story he is writing as we look ahead to the next year. So, whoever you are, wherever you're from, whatever you believe why not come and see just how very good God is (and they'll be cake 🍰!)

If you're new to Oxford, a new student, beginning a new job, or you've recently moved here for any other reason, welcome to this great city! We'd love to get to meet you and you'd be so welcome to join us on Sunday.

📍 During the service there are groups of primary and secondary school aged children. Preschool aged children are very welcome to join our play area in the main hall.

A little insight into Sunday Breakfast a couple of days ago. We are wired for relationships and although they're not always easy it is better to be together and we passionately believe that everyone can have a seat at our table. 😊

Sundays are back after the August break and we're beginning with anticipation for all God might do in this season.

Even more than ever we resonate with the words of Psalm 127:1 'Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it.' We are so hungry to see God's good, beautiful and loving kingdom come in even greater measure in Oxford, yet we know that only the king, God himself, can make that happen. Our resources are finite, his are infinite. Our prayer is 'Come Lord God and do a new thing in this city. We are ready and dependent on you.' Let's go!

If you'd like to join in this adventure we'd love you to join us, the start of a new academic year being a great time to begin. We're a bunch of very ordinary people who've become captivated by God's heart for us and for the world, trying to faithfully follow where he leads. When you boil it down it's that simple really.

We'll be at Greyfriars School, Cricket Rd, Cowley from 10am this Sunday for our big, free monthly breakfast with plenty of opportunity to share stories, our lives and meet with our living, loving God. If you'd like a chat before you come along DM or drop us a message at [email protected]

Dreaming the Impossible (DTI Youth Festival) 2026. Here are our photos, better late than never! Our young people and adults had a fantastic time meeting with God, doing sport, going on inflatables, being chosen for DTI Traitors (and not quite winning), praying for people (and even seeing someone healed 🙌), washing up, dancing, getting covered in foam and more.

It's our last normal Sunday before things look different in August. We'd love you to join us as we enjoy God's goodness together. Simply come as you are and be sure that God will be in the room.

Our dear friend Stuart Gray, who is part of the Vineyard Cardiff family, will be speaking on the famous passage in 1 Corinthians about love.

We're gathering once again at Greyfriars School to put God back at the centre of our lives, to receive all the good gifts he has for us and to encourage each other to keep pursuing him in every season. This is why Sundays are so special and we'd love your company.

Along with sharing the Lord's Supper together we'll be gathering for lunch after the service. So bring a sandwich if you can (they'll be extra food so don't worry if you can't).
