It's September so that can only mean one thing... It's Christmaaaaaaaaaas!

I'll be hosting 2 Christmas wreath workshops Calvero Lounge in Tenterden High Street on 8 December & 10 December, tickets are £70 per person, all materials are included along with some marvellous refreshments!

Life at the farm...when we got the land I didn't quite appreciate just how hard it would be to set up a flower farm, the late night watering, digging into solid ground without heavy machinery and the immense heat from the sun making everything seem more exhausting than it should.

But then something happened last night. After I did my watering, did a bit of dead heading and mentally made a to -do list, I started to drive back home when I stopped the car before I got to the gate, got out and wandered around the hay bales.

The air warm and still and the sun was starting to set. There's a smell about the warm hay that's rather comforting, not to mention how pleasing it is to see the round bales scattered on the ground worshiping the setting sun.

I managed to grab a moment of stillness in my hectic life. Life is always busy and I somehow forgot how to breathe along the way.

Lots of nooks and crannies filled with stunning hydrangea, waterfalls, stunning views and its own private beach!

We stopped off at Padstow yesterday for a little wander around the marina followed by Rick Stein’s St Petroc's Bistro ...very dog friendly and catered well for little ones too!

Schools out so we're having a much needed break with the poodles. We love having a staycation in the UK and it gives the dogs a chance to have a family holiday too!

OMG we're making hay! I'm feeling like a proper farmer seeing our first hay bales on the farm. I was more excited than my 5 year old 🤣

🌱Skimmia update... We have signs of life! I'm hoping I've managed to salvage them and the damage wasn't detrimental to the plants.

Thank you everyone for your comments and advice, it's been greatly appreciated. Let's hope they make a full recovery soon 🤞🏻

This week
I celebrated my birthday 🎂
Watered the farm as late as possible whilst trying to avoid total darkness🚿
Set up camp in my daughter's bedroom with a mattress on the floor and the dogs sleeping on me whilst we had an Aircon unit noisily blasting at us 🥵
Had kitten updates from a school mum 🐾

All whilst trying my best not to keel over in the heat!

They don't call it flammin June for nothing!
