Time for a name change 🎉

Elsie Owl Handmade will always hold a special place in my heart 💕

It gave me the opportunity to make so many blankets for the most gorgeous babies, but then I had a gorgeous baby of my own. And with his entrance into my life, my crojo made a swift exit!

It's back again now... and so is my desire to buy yarn!

How gorgeous is this twisted headband?!

Holly from let me pattern test her new design.

Her pattern was so easy to follow, I made the headband in an afternoon (while multitasking + playing cars with my 3 year old).

I’ll let you know when she’s releasing the pattern.

Let me know in the comments if you’re going to make one too ☺️

A pile of Granny Allsorts 🧶

Or Scarfing as my 3-year-old says 😍

I literally can’t wait to get stuck in with crocheting them all together!

Do you have a project you can’t wait to get crocheting? One that’s worth abandoning all your other responsibilities for?!

Do colours give you a feeling?!

I know I sound mad, but bear with me… there’s just something so wonderful when certain colours get together. I can’t stop thinking about them + find any excuse to sit down + get crocheting 😂🙈

I’m having a headache with the mustard though 😩 check my stories to find out why.

Thank you to the amazing Linda from Woodard Photography for adding me to her International Women’s Day post 💕

I’m working on some blankets for Linda to use in her studio when it can open again.

It’s just wonderful thinking, while I’m crocheting, about the little babies that will snuggle on the blankets for their photos. And what treasures the photos will become as those babies will grow.

If you’re in the Crawley area + need a photographer to take pictures of your family, I can’t recommend Linda enough.

🥀 International Women's Day - a post for us to promote what we do!

I am definitely not a graphic designer but this is a small tribute to a few local business women who I think are fabulous - do you recognise anyone?

Please take this opportunity to promote amazing women amongst us. It doesn't need to be business owners but can be not-for-profit, charities, or someone who is amazing at their job, or just great for being themself, who you would like to give a shout out to.

You are also welcome to advertise your own business in this post (please just one comment per person for advertising).

And yes, I'm in this image too as I am very proud of how far I have come in only a few years and so very happy to have met so many inspirational women!

Thank you! 💕

Spring sunshine + garden crochet.

So wonderful to feel the warmth of the sun after what’s felt like the eternal winter. I was starting to understand how the folks of Narnia were feeling before Aslan arrived.

Have you got sunshine where you are?

Every blanket tells a story.

I made this blanket for my Grandad while I was recovering from my cancer treatment. My Grandma had passed away suddenly + as I couldn’t see him because I was too ill, I wanted to give him something that would let him know that I loved him.

He died on the first day of the second lockdown last year so no chance for a last goodbye.

He would have been 94 today.

My Mum has his blanket now.
