Come and paint your very own wooden duck, choose from our fun accessories, and take your finished duck home the very same day. It’s a lovely activity for families, friends and all ages — and a great way to keep the summer creativity going.

Feeling inspired by all the waddling creativity around Crediton?

Why not let the children paint their very own duckling at one of our Waddling Wednesday Workshops?

They’ll spend the morning getting creative, decorating a wooden duck and adding their own accessories — while the grown-ups enjoy 90 minutes of child-free time. Coffee in peace, run a few errands, or simply sit somewhere nobody is asking you for a snack. 😂

🦆 Wednesday 5th or 19th August
🕙 10:00am–11:30am
👧 Ages 6+ — drop-off session
💷 £18 per child

All materials, friendly guidance, squash and snacks are included, and their finished duck goes home with them the same day.

☀️ I’m Back! ☀️

After a much-needed break away to recharge, I’m back at Paint Pots of Devon today… and the big kiln is already on! 🔥🎨

Firstly, thank you so much for your patience while I was away. I know lots of you are eagerly waiting to collect your pottery, and I’ll be working through the backlog of firing as quickly as I can over the coming days.

If you painted while I was away, please bear with us just a little longer. Every piece will be fired, glazed and carefully prepared for collection as soon as possible. I’ll keep you updated as we catch up.

As many of you know, life outside the studio can be just as busy as life inside it. As an SEN parent myself, this little break was exactly what I needed to recharge before the summer holidays really get underway.

To all my fellow SEN parents… we’ve got this. 💜 Some days are tougher than others, and the juggle is real, but you’re doing an incredible job, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it. Be kind to yourself, celebrate the small wins, and remember you’re never alone.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, your support, and for supporting our little family business. Now… let’s get these kilns working overtime! 🔥🎨

Fancy swapping screens for clay and doing something a little different together?

Our Play with Clay Family Workshop is a relaxed, hands-on afternoon where adults and children can choose from a selection of simple clay projects, follow our step-by-step guidance and create something completely unique.

No experience needed. Wonky creations absolutely welcome. 😂

In fact, they’ve waddled off all around Crediton High Street! 😂

Pick up a Summer Duck Trail sheet for just £1 from Paint Pots of Devon, then head off on your very own duck hunt around town.

All proceeds will be donated to Crediton Food Bank, so you’ll be having fun and supporting a brilliant local cause at the same time. 💜

The ducks will also be available to purchase once the trail has finished, so make a note of your favourites as you go! 👀🦆
