As summer winds down, personalised layered maps are a wonderful way to remember some of your favourite towns and cities from the year. Scarborough is a lovely seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast, famous for its two bays separated by a headland that boasts a 12th-century castle. We love visiting Scarborough, so it seemed only right that I made this detailed, multi-layered map of the town for us. The level of detail is amazing, down to the coastal paths and individual buildings throughout the town.

To complement the Cheshire boundary map I shared earlier in the week, I can now offer standard mini desktop-sized detailed layered maps of each town/city boundary within the county of Cheshire. A small pin/marker can also be added to highlight a special place - your home, first date etc. Each map measures approx 14x14 cm and comes complete with a matching easel holder/stand. These standard desktop-sized town/city boundary maps are available for a limited time at an introductory price of £22.50 each. Standard boundary desktop-sized layered maps are also available for most towns/cities throughout the UK.

Continuing with the pet inspired crafting theme of late, I wanted to quickly share this beautiful portrait of ‘Nala’, which I engraved onto a 10cm quartz plaque earlier this week. The level of detail achievable when engraving on quartz is truly remarkable, even more so when I have access to high-resolution photos. Crystal plaques like this make wonderful keepsakes for anniversaries, baby announcements, birthdays or even Christmas gifts!
